5 pounds for the week!

Posted on May 19, 2003 01:24 PM by Joel Comm

Well, I ended up losing 5 pounds last week. I think I hit my first plateau and I'm fine with that. Ended up pigging out on Chinese food over the weekend. I even had a friend egg-roll. Yum! I am back on track this week and hope I can ditch an additional 5 pounds. Thanks to those of you who have encouraged me with your comments. I am walking on the treadmill an hour a day and am still on the lookout for a health club. Maybe I'll have joined one by the end of this week.

    What's a 'friend' egg-roll?

I'm glad to see you went ahead and splurged on the chinese.

Just a side note, if you can get outside and run around the block or on a track, it's more beneficial than a treadmill. With the treadmill, all you have to do is move your legs and keep up with the belt. On the road, you've actually got to push your own weight. Give it a try, you'll notice a difference.

I don't mean to belittle your accomplishments, I'm glad to see you making a commitment. Just a little advice.

how do you lose 5 pounds in a week?

Run around the track when you feel comfortable around people, personally I can't do it. I'm not fat at all.. ok 5 pounds over but I just can't do it.

    I'll stick to a treadmill.
