It's one of those days. My eyes are watery. My nose is stuffy. My body is achy. And I don't want to do anything.
The common cold strikes once again.
If my friend, Dr. Morgan, was in his office today, I'd be sitting in his comfy chair with an IV in my arm. He's got this great mixture of antioxidants that kicks the immune system into high gear and usually fends off this stuff before it gets really bad.
Alas, it is a Saturday and I am stuck at home. Blech.
I stay away from the over-the-counter cold medicines. Most of them are little more than bandaids to take away the symptoms. But in doing so, they get in the way of the body's natural tendencies to ward off that which is foreign. This can prolong the illness.
Intead, I load up on gobs of vitamin C, garlic, echinacea and other natural supplements that aid the body in fighting off the virus.
I'll drink lots of water, rest in front of a few good movies, sleep a bit and be better by Monday.
At least that's the plan.
Achoo!

Get well soon Joel ! Just
a little hint... ... dont
eat the hot fudge sundaes
this weekend. Why ? Those
bad bacteria love a body
with a high acid level.
That is what processed
sugar does to a body, elevates
the acid level, and helps
things like "colds" and "flus"
persist.
Hang in there,
Steve

The really, really, really cheap frozen orange juice that you can find in the local Wal-Mart Grocery store and a few cans of chicken noodle soup normally do the trick for me. I hope that you get well soon!
