(This entry is somewhat unique in that I am composing it entirely on my T-Mobile Sidekick. I wrote about this device a few weeks back and have been very pleased with it so far. You can search my blog to find out more.)
We left Boulder at 11 am and set course for Beaver Creek, a ski resort nestled a couple hour's drive into the Rockies. Once you hit I-70 going west into the mountains, you can just cruise. Mary asked to stop in Georgetown, which turned out to be a quaint town a few miles east of the Eisenhower Tunnel. There we enjoyed lunch and did some shopping.
We arrived in Beaver Creek around 3 pm and checked into a beautiful condo in Beaver Creek Village. The kids immediately found a swimming pool just outside the back door, so it wasn't long before all of us were all wet!
We made reservations for an Italian meal at Toscanini's restaurant (mmm...tasty!), and did a bit of shopping around the village.
While enjoying our dinner, a thunderstorm came to town, so we also enjoyed the thunder, lightning and rain.
We have a big day tomorrow, packed with activities, so I must get some rest. Zzzzzz...
