Here goes...
Not counting the miserable locale of this summer's Affiliate Summit (Miami), the conference was a huge success.
I had the opportunity to interact with dozens of people, man a booth for The Next Internet Millionaire and speak to an audience about contextual advertising. All in all, a very productive time.
What did I learn?
In spite of the record attendance and the number of new businesses springing up, we are still in a the early phases of affiliate marketing. The world at large has no idea what we do, and it is our job to bring them into the fold... to help them discover the massive opportunities that exist online.
I do believe there is more than enough to go around for everyone, though I do wonder how many affiliate networks with the same "me-too" offers the market can sustain.
Creativity, originality and ingenuity will win the day as we continue to find new ways to do things better.
I look forward to participating in the growth of this industry.
