Have you taken inventory of your life recently? Things may be good or they may be bad.
But whether it is your relationships, your business or any other part of your life, I can guarantee one thing.
Change is coming.
We live in a dynamic world surrounded by people who are changing and growing. While we make our best attempts to bring order to our lives, we struggle to make sense of circumstances that are beyond our control.
If there is one thing we know for sure it's that the way things are is not always the way things will be.
Uncertainty is the only thing we can count on for certain.
Change is always on the move.
I'm sure you can identify with this. And I'm certain that 2013 finds you with your share of changes and challenges.
I wonder if there is a theme that many of my readers share.
There's only one way to find out. Ask!
With change invariably breathing down your neck, what are your biggest concerns and most pressing issues?
And along those lines, what topics would you be most interested in reading on this blog?
It's your chance to sound off, and perhaps influence what I write about next.
The empty comment box below is your invitation. Fill it with feedback, questions, concerns, hopes, dreams, wishes and a perhaps some wit. That would make me smile.
Change is in the air. Let's see where it takes us...

Change is coming – try to expand or perrish. But how do you suddenly move from always been served clients, to go get them yourself?
Well, guess that's what all businesses struggle with – expanding your range of clients…
Info products don't seem to be selling as well as they did 2-3 years ago. It's hard to get people on my lists to respond to anything. What's changed, and what can I do about it?
Joel, I feel that you need to be more specific. Change in what area... the world, business, personal, religion, politics, social media....
Change affects all of these areas.
Now we are talking, if I may say so! Complimnets for the B and N story. For me a sign you are completely in control. The Change Ask question does confirm that. Social interactivity is a million dollar business...and it's just starting...
One of the biggest changes in the business world is how everything is becoming more personal. Customers and prospects are reading and educating themselves before purchasing a service or widget. So companies need to adapt more socially and adapt social proof to compete within there market.
We are faced with having to give up our beautiful house at the beach after 17 years. My now-retired husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's a year ago, and as he progresses, the stairs leading into the house and within the house will become more difficult for him. Right now it's mostly fine motor issues, particularly with his hands - which means upkeep, installing and removing hurricane shutters, packing for evacuations, etc., are already more difficult for him. And anxiety, which often is an unwelcome freeloader for those with Parkinson's, is also making appearances.
While I know this move will be better for him, I also know that we will rarely drive to the public beach once we move, especially during the very busy beach season, even if we stay in the same town (which we plan to do). The beach is the whole reason we happily uprooted our lives and moved many hours from family and friends. It's free, healthy entertainment just about any time we want to take advantage of it simply by walking across the street to a peaceful setting away from the crowds and traffic of the public beaches.
I'm already grieving over what my husband is and will be experiencing with his health, and the added grief over replacing our beach life with living in a "regular" neighborhood that requires lawn care (we'll have to pay someone to do it, yet we don't have the money to do so) and is likely filled with chemicals from neighbors' lawns and gardens (I'm extremely chemically sensitive) . . . well, it's feeling impossible to face.
Change forced on me is not something I've ever been able to embrace easily - I need to be a part of the decision to be on board with it. But this move is an undeniable need, yet I can't seem to accept it. While you may have been asking about change as it relates to business, I believe the question is still the same: What do we do when months of soul-searching and attempts at coming to grips with a new reality bring us no closer to acceptance of an inevitable, clearly necessary change?
How to get more out of this Internet Blogging monster and make the necessary connections to start putting food on the table.
"Nothing changes if nothing changes."
It says that right on my wall.
We're now an empty nest.
And age means I have to contract.
My blog never turned a profit, and I have lost the oomph to convert content to books; marketing them now seems too hard.
And from a faith point of view, it's hard to not think of end times.
So there you go...
The comments by Chuck Frey and HogsAteMySister are just where I am in my IM efforts. I would bet that there are hundreds/thousands of others trying to get out of this place into greener pastures. So I'll continue to follow and learn what Joel has in mind.
Would it be possible to take in a border who can do all the handyman work for a reduced rent? Or take in a border and use the rent money to hire a handyman?
Yes, change is the only thing that is constant but so are universal laws. All the happens in life is in balance, if we just take time to look deeply. What may seem wonderful right now if you look also comes with not so great stuff, what seems terrible also comes with benifits if we look deeply. I've learned to live in the middle, not getting high on what seems great and not getting low on what appears bad, because I've learned that everything has two sides to it, and the more I stay in the middle the more calm my life is, the more I can access that space within me where I'm aware of God's love for me. It is in the middle where I know the universe is for us, not against us.
Technical aspects of setting up a blog would be good.

Joel, I am in the UK and so that is my excuse for quoting from our near neighbours, the French! "Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose" (= the more things change, the more they stay the same) I have heard this expression used here at election time to reflect the pointlessness of it.
I am FAR from being a pessimistic person but I also recall the old hymn (1847) ABIDE WITH ME "Change and decay in all around I see;
O Thou who changest not, abide with me."
Personally I always look for the best out of changes and am always hopeful but...........a lot of us older people seem not to share that view. Hopefully the upcoming new generation will not be blighted by such pessimism and, like me, always hope that change is for the better
And so I exit stage left singing David Bowie's CHANGES!! "Just gonna have to be a different man Time may change me But I can't trace time"
Thanks Joel -it is good to stand back and reflect on a great life. It is not always about chasing the next dollar!
You touched my sensitive point in my character >>> The Change.
I respect the principle of change.
Yes, we have to change and I'm changing now and changing my life.
Hope success for me.
About your blog, I hope to see more success stories for your students. This will motivate us to continue our struggling in Million Journey.
Also don't leave us a lot of time without some of your attractive books or eBooks. I didn't read anything since Adsense Secrets 5. I hope to inform me if I'm mistaken.
Finally, I hope to tell us what should we do to build unique blog with fans by millions.
Thanks a lot Joel
Joel I've been following you for about three years now, and I've only recently begun to take action on the many great pieces of advice and information you've offered over the years.
What made me sit on the sidelines so long was disbelief that I could do it too. I've only begun my journey into the online income forrest, but your willingness to pass along great information is guiding me on this path.
Change was the impetus that propelled me into action and your article strikes home with me.
When desperation moves one from apathy to action is can be life changing to say the least. I thank you for all your work and realize it directly correlates to your success. God Bless.
