I have a confession to make.
I love shopping online and I love using online coupon codes.
I've been doing online shopping online since Amazon.com launched in 1995.
In the early years, merchants would regularly offer fantastic discounts on merchandise in order to get new customers to their stores.
For example, Reel.com (nbow defunct?) used to offer $10 off coupons on a regular basis. So I would buy DVDs for approximately $5 each. What a deal!
When Drugstore.com came on the scene, they offered $10 off your first purchase of $10 or more. That made it very easy to try them out.
And when Pets.com launched their shop it was the same story. You could use a coupon to save $10 off your first purchase of $10 or more. Nice!
I so enjoyed saving money online that I launched my own bargain-hunter site in 1999.
It's gone throiugh several site designs and serious growth over the past years, but DealofDay.com remains one of the largest and most popular sites for finding deals online.
We post 20-30 new offers every day, so there is always fresh material and a bargain for just about everyone.
The site is neatly categorized and easy to navigate, with details on each deal being offered with one click.
But the thing that I love most about the site is the community.
The DealTalk forums receive tens of thousands of visits each and every day. People discuss the latest deals, coupons and freebies that they have found.
And they also discuss their families, television shows, current events and a host of other topics. Many people have been on the site for years and they are like an extended family for each other!
That is the power of community.
If you want to save money online, be sure to visit the site before you do your shopping. You may find some really great deals!
