As we enter the final legs of our journey, we have plenty of ground left to cover. We left Durham, North Carolina this morning and spent the better part of the day in the car. We did stop along the way for some antiquing, but it was brief.
The drive has been beautiful though. We have been passing through the Appalachian mountain range and enjoying a variety of fall colors. We finally stopped in Knoxville, Tennessee. Tomorrow we shall attempt to cross Tennessee and finish in Memphis. The next day will take us to Little Rock, and maybe further. Hopefully this will put us back in Edmond by Thursday if possible. We are more and more ready to be back home. The end is near!

Glad you guys are on the way home...we miss you!
It has been so awesome to see your adventure unfold through the blog. Thanks for sharing with us!
Hey there! What a bummer that you were in Knoxville yesterday. We were visiting in Knoxville for Olivia's birthday this past weekend and left for home Sunday. We would have loved to have caught up with you over some Corky's BBQ and have you meet our precious children. Oh well, it wasn't meant to be. Maybe on your next trek cross country : ) I am sure you're not planning to travel again any time soon though. I know how homesick I get after just a couple days, let alone four weeks.
I have thoroughly enjoyed following your trip, and we will continue to pray for your safe return to OK. Thanks for being so vulnerable with your experiences. It's been an inspiration.
