It seems like an eternity ago that MySpace first hit the web. But it was
2003 when the site launched and 2006 when it became the most popular social
networking site on the web.
Things have dramatically changed in a short period of time.
Facebook overtook MySpace as the leader just a brief two years later.
Which leaves me asking the questions Why would anyone continue to use
MySpace? Who ARE these people?
Regardless, social media is here to stay.
Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and thousands of wannabe sites provide
us with opportunities to connect with others from next door and all over the
world.
With such a massive market at stake, it was only a matter of time before
Google successfully entered the space.
Now we have Google Buzz, the Big G's answer to social networking.
And I have to admit, there are some things I really like about it.
In fact, I think Buzz is so relevant that I took the time to create a brief
report for those wondering how they can leverage the power of Buzz for
business.
It's called Google Buzz: How
Google's Social Networking Tool Can Make Your Business Hum.
In the report I define Buzz, discuss how to build your follower list, how to
manage your content, and how to incorporate Buzz into your overall social
media strategy.
It's just 31 pages. It's easy to read. And its totally free.
To download my report directly right now, click below.
Feel free to pass the report around, retweet this page or simply point others
here. I would love to hear your feedback, so please leave comments below.

I have no use for Buzz, I turned it off in Gmail already.
Hey there Joel.
Thanks for this report. I'm looking forward to listen to your opinion about building business with Google Buzz.
:)
Thanks Joel, am checking it out. Do great stuff :-)
Greetings Joel,
Many thanks for your eye-opening report regarding Google Buzz! :)
I ran into the thing a while back and was wondering why it had mostly Google staff.
Twitter has proven to be beneficial to me and hopefully Google Buzz will too.
Warmest Regards,
FJT
Hi Joel!
Thanks for this report - I knew I wanted to learn more about Buzz - people are talking about it - I just couldn't get it to the top of my "to do" list.
Great points are included inside. Thanks for making it possible to digest the details. And I truly appreciate that you've made it so accessible for all of us.

I was sent by Julia Kline to your site. Good stuff!
Regarding Buzz: I do not use it because many of my contacts are not on gmail. I think Google missed the bus of opportunity to be more involved in the social media scene with Blogger. They could have done so much more with it.
Now, Facebook is threatening all, but will dominate the market. Google will be the Reebok to the Nike in the social media world. They will exist and do ok, but won't quite capture the market the way they could.
Hey Joel,
Thanks for the quick and to the point info on Buzz! It was info that I was looking for. You covered the best and worst of it and that made me rethink how I Will be using Buzz now.
I did have all my posts linked to buss already and thought - ok, now what? I'm glad you took the time to show me how to use it better.
Thanks again,
Craig - The 7thDwarf

Hi Joel
Thanks for the excellent content you always provide. I've retweeted the link to my followers on Twitter so others can download it to. Thanks again.
A friend of mine forwarded this video showing how invasive Google Buzz can be, and I thought it was worth passing along as a word of warning... be careful out there!

Thanks Joel, much appreciated... looks great at a glance, I'm looking forward to reading it.
And thanks Tammy for the YouTube video link, I'm going to share that with others so they can see 'why' they should NOT announce their every move.
Joel,
Great letter. I was wondering exactly how to tie Google Buzz into my Social Media marketing. Thanks for being a leader and telling the world how valuable this Google Buzz tool is.
Thanks,
Scott Mosteller

thru the report but thought before

Buzz Report. Hope, the report will
will be buzzling effect on my income
for life mlm opportunity.

Thanks for the report, Joel. Found it useful and to be a good analysis of Buzz so far. One thing I wanted to comment on, however; the report mentioned, iirc, that people tend to comment on the Buzz post instead of the original post. Part of the reason for that, I think, might just be the fact that when you have the autoposted blog entry, there is no link back to the blog so you can read the full post.
I don't know if that's something Google will change in the future, but for now, it means that if you have an excerpt go to Buzz, that's *all* Buzz readers see. Just the excerpt, with no link to the full entry on the blog.
Here's an idea for a workaround in the meantime. A friend of mine crossposts his blog stuff as Facebook Notes and other places. At the end, he's always got a little blurb saying something like, "If you're reading this anywhere other than my blog, you're missing part of it. Go here (link) and read the full post and comment."

Than you very much for the report Joel, one question that my friends an I have been wondering about is if Google will buy Twitter, just as they did with youtube, what are your thoughts about this?
I have the buzz near my inbox. I use gmail a lot, but never the buzz service. I find it useless in current abundance of social media systems.
Thanks for the report.
Google Buzz is great. I get updates daily for several different topics actually. It is great for staying updated with news and things about a certain topic or two. It also gives you topics for good and current discussions. It is a great tool.
Joel, how do you have to to do all this? I can't even keep up reading your blog.
As far as MySpace goes, it's still a great platform for musicians, comedians and film makers (which most of my clients are), so I have to keep up with it.
Thanks , Joel. Great posts here. I used to have My Space account and now I'm a facebook user. Not only I can make friends or find old school friends through Facebook, I have to admit that I had been an avid follower of Facebook because of its excellent apps, Farmville and Cafe World.
