I recommend a lot of products to people, and sometimes I get emails from readers complaining that they can't possibly buy everything I recommend.
I don't expect you to. Not all of the products I recommend suit everyone. All of them though will help someone. If you decide not to buy a product I recommend, that's fine. Just make sure that you're not turning down something that could genuinely help your site to grow and earn more revenue. That would be a mistake.
And so would ignoring all of the free ways of building up your website.
One of those methods is to make good use of Amazon.com.
You don't have to write a book to get your name and the name of your website on Amazon. You just have to write about a book -- or any other product for that matter.
Put a review on a page marketing a high-selling product, make sure that review includes a link to your site somewhere (the name is a good place) and you can benefit from some useful extra traffic.
But here's the thing. The products you review should be related to your site. That won't just guarantee that the traffic you receive is targeted, it will also make you look like an expert and win you trust.
So of you write a blog about photography, you could review a photography book, a camera or a lens, for example.
The review has to be good and honest too. Remember, it's going to act as an ad for your site, so if you want people to visit, it has to look knowledgeable and professional.
And if you provide a good review, you can also place an affiliate link back to the product on your website, and earn cash directly from the review too.
Few sites pick up more traffic than Amazon. Don't waste the chance to grab some of that targeted traffic for free by providing a quick review.
