Over the past few years, Google has come on strong as a leader in the Internet search engine industry, giving Yahoo!, MSN and AOL a run for their money. With an initial public offering just around the corner, can anything stop this behemoth?

One of their most recent additions to the site is their pay-per-click advertising program, Google Adwords. Here's how it works. You advertise your site on Google and their network of sites by creating a text ad and associating the ad with certain keywords. For example, if you have a site that sells shoes, you might select keywords such as Timberland, Keds, Converse, etc, and then associate a maximum amount that you would pay for a click to your site.
When someone searches the Google network for one of your keywords, your ad appears on the page and the viewer has an opportunity to click on it and visit your site. You only pay if someone clicks, so it is a fantastic way to get traffic to your site. This is great for advertisers.
But in order to have advertisers, you must have publishers that can display the ads, right? That's where Google Adsense comes in.
With Adsense, publishers can display Google ads on their web pages and generate revenue every time an ad is clicked on. Basically, Google shares a piece of the pie with the site that generated the click. For example, you will see "Ads by Google" on this very page, and all pages in the WorldVillage family of sites.
The brilliant thing about Adsense is that Google has made it context sensitive. You simply place a snippet of html code on your web page and Google automatically determines the best ads to display on your site. For example, if you visit DealofDay.com, you will find Google ads associated with online coupons and deals. If you visit Virtual Whassup, you will find ads associated with online greeting cards. Amazing stuff, huh?
For publishers, the more ads you display, the more likely that someone will click on them, and therefore, the more revenue you can earn.
I have recently played with my Google Adsense settings and increased my clickthrough rate substantially. I have also helped a friend increase his Google Adsense revenue by a multiple of FOUR by advising him to make some changes.

there are lots of site seem promoting methods to improve adsense revenue. It seem some of them are not legal
I believe that ads on traffic appear to be quite great in number. making a site on traffic and stuff will bring more google ads.
