Me and my family traveled to Steamboat Springs for fall break this year. This has always been my favorite place to ski, but there is no skiing taking place here... yet. Pretty soon the snow will fall and the slopes will be crowded.
As it turned out, we were here for Halloween. And Halloween in Steamboat Springs is a big deal!
They shut down the main street going through downtown, the merchants all have a huge candy stash, and the costumed people head that way in droves.
As expected, there were more witches and death costumes than anything else, but there were quite a few Star Wars-related characters, at least three Sarah Palins and one Joe the Plumber.
Take a look at this brief video showing Halloween in Steamboat Springs!

Maybe thats where Joe was hiding instead of attending McCain's gathering!
"Me and" ?????? Why oh why are there so many well educated people talking this way lately? It's gotta be a marketing ploy that you're in on. Tell us!!!
Oh, ok. "My family and I"
Happy Grammar Nottzie? Are you happy now?!?! :-)
Actually, I'd rather hear that it was intentional for SEO or some other reason.
BTW, I enjoyed your video. Looks like a fun time downtown.
But what I really appreciate are all your political tweets and the stand that you're taking. I just hope it helps.
Isn't Halloween in Steamboat the best? It's up there with the Fourth of July, New Years Eve, and Gaper Day. If you come to ski in Steamboat, make sure you come for Winter Carnival. It's the second weekend in February. The Saturday night activities on Howelson Hill are outrageous and you won't see anything like it in the US--kind of like the Steamboat Halloween Stroll.

Very nice, we had no tricker treeters in our area. Of cource we live out in the country where it is very dark at night.
