My son has wanted a cat for a number of years. So when his 21st birthday arrived, I decided it was time to grant him his wish.
Zach located a kitten about ten days ago and brought her into our home.
She’s adorable. And she has immediately become a part of the family.
But there’s a problem. So far, we haven’t found a name that has stuck.
That’s where you come in…
Kitty is full of energy, talkative and playful. She has a knack for finding dangerous hiding places.
For example, she has repeatedly found entryways into our living room sofa. Not under. Not on. IN the sofa.
I have had to flip it over and duct tape it shut multiple times so she doesn’t get inside only to have someone sit on her and squish her furry little frame.
She likes to sit in front of the computer monitor. I’m glad I have a 30″ screen, but she will follow my cursor back and forth. Of course, she always blocks my way.
She also likes to journey back and forth from my lap to the monitor, cluelessly (or intentionally?) stepping on my keyboard. A little frustrating?
Still, she is adorable and little purr-monster. She loves to snuggle and be close to either myself or my son.
What do we name this wonderful ball of fur?

I’m not saying we will choose from the names suggested, but you might come up with just the thing. Go fur it! (Get it? Go FUR it? See what I did there? I know, clever right? Em…er… ya…)
UPDATE! – As of March 2nd, the kitten has a name. Zach has decided on “Sprite”, as in the computer graphics usage and not the soft drink. Thanks for your suggestions!
