Ashley Revell is a British man who was vacationing in Las Vegas. He decided to sell ALL his possessions, including his clothing, and wager his life savings on the spin of a roulette wheel. The 32-year old man took $135,000 to the Plaza Hotel last month, did some low-stakes gambling, and then proceeded to bet the whole amount on Red.
With a little less than 50/50 chance of winning, due to the two green spaces on a roulette wheel, Revell was taking a huge risk. Standing in a rented tuxedo, it was an all-or-nothing maneuver.
Revell left the casino with $270,000 after the tiny metal ball landed on Red 7.
I'm sure he was very excited, but how incredibly depressed would he have been if he had lost? Yikes! I guess you only go around once...
