Facebook Facebook Pinterest Facebook Twitter Facebook Google plus Pinterest Twitter Facebook Facebook Pinterest and so forth.
That's what the chatter sounds like in marketing circles these days.
It's all about Facebook. Google Plus is the latest thing. Oh, we have to be on Pinterest. Twitter is the rage.
There's no doubt that ALL of these social media sites are an important part of your marketing mix. They all have value.
But I am still not hearing nearly as much as I should about LinkedIn, especially from those who should know better.
Question: Are you on LinkedIn? If you ARE on LinkedIn, are you using it to its fullest?
Probably not. And that's because you probably don't know HOW to use it to it's fullest. I know I continue to learn and find ways to leverage the site more.
So how powerful is LinkedIn? Here's a point-of-reference for you.
I have nearly 14,000 people liking my page on Facebook.
I have over 70,000 people following me on Twitter.
But I am connected to over 19,000,000 professionals on LinkedIn!

In business, it's all about connecting with other people. The easier it is to connect with the people you need to know, the better your chances of connecting with those people. Easy, right?
Lewis Howes is one of my go-to experts when it comes to LinkedIn, and he knows his stuff. He is a student of the site and is always finding new ways to drive traffic and grow his business using LinkedIn.
Lewis has a free video that gives some great content on how you can use LinkedIn. You can go watch Lewis' video to learn more, or just go ahead and get a copy of his Linked Influence course. It's very reasonably priced and comes with a 60-day no-questions asked guarantee.
I have found that using LinkedIn properly has led to more business and relationships with potential than other social media sites I've used this year.
I recommend you learn how to use LinkedIn right. Click on Linked Influence to check it out.

I have been using facebook and twitter for years, however LinkedIn is still a new concept for me. I am not really sure it is worth investing time on it?
Social media gets more important every single day. I am using most of the known bookmarking environments but gonna have to read your Linkedin articles obviously. Thanks for the guidance, best regards.
Has anyone else encountered the problem of having two business lives? I have a 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. professional life in a regulated industry where people in my industry know me. I’ve created LinkedIn profile to stay connected with others who are in the same professional associations however; I’m also an entrepreneur and small business owner developing software applications for the iOS platform.
I have a Twitter account, FaceBook Fan Page and Google+ for my home business however; I haven’t linked my home business to my LinkedIn account because the two businesses are in different industries, which allows me to not have a conflict of interest with my employer.
In situations like this, do people create two LinkedIn accounts or are there other solutions to keep the two worlds from colliding?
Feedback from other entrepreneurs who have worked through this situation would be greatly welcomed.
Thank you,
Joe

I'm connected most of the popular social networks and recently I joined LinkedIn. However, it did not pique my interest at all. After reading your post, however, I'm starting to see potential in this social site - Potential to reach a larger audience and grow my business. Thanks!
This is a great post.
As an online marketing expert of many years I have taught my own customers how to use many different media's to connect with potential new clients, however, LinkedIn is something that I really need to put at the top of my list to get more out of it.
