Change.
It's one thing in life we can depend on.
And it can be the thing that frightens us most.
I've known people who don't like the least bit of change in their lives. They are most comfortable in keeping the status quo.
Change implies risk. And risk... well, sometimes things don't turn out the way we hope they will.
And sometimes they do.
My family, my employees and I will be embracing change over the next few months, as we prepare to move to a new location.
Some of are aware of the fact that I have been traveling to Colorado to look for home. And I'm pleased to announce that I have found one!
Over the next few weeks, I'll be steeped in phone calls to banks, moving companies, vendors, insurance agents, etc and so forth.
And I couldn't be more excited!
Mary and I have always loved our vacations to Colorado and fantasized about living on the front range, with views of the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
I wouldn't be the first Internet entrepreneur to make this move as there are quite a number of us out there already... I'm sure you'd know the names if I were to mention them.
With that said, I will probably be a little slow to reply to email, though my support desk is open and all issues will be handled in a timely manner.
I apologize in advance if I neglect anyone or anything during this time, and appreciate your understanding.
Change.
Risk.
Being alive!
I'd love to hear your thoughts on anything related to this post.
Perhaps you have had a major change in your life?
Tell me about it!
Maybe you are moving as well?
Let's hear it!
Are you a Colorado resident?
Hi neighbor! Tell me how much you LOVE it there. :-)

Hello neighbor, again. Wish I could have known about you when living in OKC, but you are really just as close as the computer, even tho you are going to be in Colorado and I am now in Albuquerque. Welcome to the Rockies...you'll love being here full time.

Welp, after 18 years with one Woman I am now going through a divorce, not fun but I do look forward to the next chapter of my life.
Maybe you are moving as well?
Yes, see statment above. lol
Let's hear it!
I am now a 42 year old single web publisher who can now focus on his business and take it to new heights!
Are you a Colorado resident?
Moved to Colorado in 1982 from the midwest and never looked back.
Hi neighbor! Tell me how much you LOVE it there. :-)
I love it here, into the mountains and everything Colorado has to offer. Congrats on the move Joel, let me know if I can help with anything.
Steve
Hey Joel,
Congrats on finding a home. I wish you, and your family lot's of joy.
Welcome to Colorado Joel! I grew up here and then moved to the west coast. I just moved back about 3 months ago to start a Web 2.0 business. Despite all the snow this season, it is a beautiful place to live and I wish you and your family all the luck in the world! Let me know if you need any tips on where to go, what to do, etc. etc.
Krista
Hey Joel,
Lived along the front range for over a decade. From Pueblo to Denver and loved it while I was there. Best sunsets ever! You'll enjoy the natural ampitheater out there as well: Redrocks.
Cheers to your move,
Eric Seminara
I was just in Edmond a couple of weeks ago for a wrestling dual with UCO. I live in Gunnison on the west slop and it's one of the premier skiing, fly fishing, camping, biking, areas in Colorado. If you're interested in any of that let me know!
Dear Joel
Good wishes for life in your new home. Change has always been part of my life and I find it invigorating, on the whole. I live in Australia and am aware of how nomadic most of us are here, so moving to another location seems pretty normal!
Jill
Congrats on your move to Colorado Joel, You'll love it there. I'll be your neighbor here in Kansas. I've loved the whole state of Colorado all my life. My wife and I go there almost every year to visit relatives. Change is a good thing and absolutely essential for learning to be successful. The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. Thats why I got into Adsence as well as other home based businesses.
Way to go Joel. From what I can tell you more than deserve it. I hope it all runs smoothly for you and your family during this exciting move.
Regards,
Adrian (UK)
Joel, Great move. I've always loved Colorado and had a business in Aspen for many years. But the Silicon Valley tech business was my life.
But, as you noted, things change...esp. since 2001. I am now more focused on global business and, hence, have a home in Panama. The US is getting farther off my daily radar
Hope you have as much fun in Colo. as I plan to have in Panama! See ya on the Internet...
Welcome to Colorado--you will love it here! I am a Colorado native and live in beautiful Colorado Springs except for the time I spend in Texas with my husband who is on active duty.
