Oh the Irony

turner.jpgIs Ted Turner relevant to anyone anymore? Listen to what this buffoon had to say at the National Association for Television Programming Executives's conference Tuesday.

"While FOX may be the largest news network, it's not the best." (sour grapes because they are beating Turner's CNN?)

He followed up by pointing out that Adolph Hitler got the most votes when he was elected to run Germany prior to WWII. He said the network is the propaganda tool for the Bush Administration.

"There's nothing wrong with that. It's certainly legal. But it does pose problems for our democracy. Particularly when the news is dumbed down," leaving voters without critical information on politics and world events and overloaded with fluff," he said.

Is it possible for so much stupidity to exist in the mind of one person? The great irony is that Turner's politics are far closer to Hitler than anything the Bush Administration or Fox News has demonstrated. The man is obviously out of touch with reality. On top of that, I think what we have here is a very bitter, sad man.

    Joel,

How can u be so ignorant of this fact ?. It is a widely known fact that the Fox Network is pro bush and it has always been like that. I am surprised that u even argue for this. What looks like u have so much hate for anti bush ppl that you seem to ignore the facts around you.

I am very sorry for u.

yes, Fox LEANS to the right. ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, New York Times, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, et al... ARE liberal. They don't just LEAN left. They ARE left.

It's just that they have been that way for so long, when Fox came along and was FAR more balanced AND fair, people don't know what to think. True signs of successful brain-washing.

My goodness. I guess Ted Turner is not the only one in dire need of a reality check.

    The irony continues...
