On our way to Australia

Posted on June 3, 2008 09:24 PM by Joel Comm

It's been a long time coming.

I've been asked to speak in Australia several times over the past couple years, but the timing just hasn't worked out for one reason or another.

On Sunday, I will be speaking at a major event in Sydney, and I've decided to bring my lovely bride with me.

Mary and I are currently in the International Business Lounge at LAX. It's still a few hours until we head to Sydney, with a stopover in Fiji. I plan on documenting this trip, though who knows if I'll be able to keep up with it. So away we go with my first video...

    Have a great flight Joel!

I've done the trip a few times this year (I saw you at Underground). You'll love it over here. Bring your unbrella....it's been raining.

    Hi Joel,

On what dates are you speaking in Sydney? And where can I get tickets to attend? :)

I am leaving tomorrow for a 4 day IM'ers meeting in Bali, but will be back on the 10th. Would be great to meet for lunch or dinner some time. :)

    Warm regards,

    Hi Joel,
    have a good flight!
Don't judge Sydney by the weather that greats you. We're having what we call an "East Coast Low" so gale force winds and rain is the order of the day.
Anyway, looking forward to getting my Instant Resale Templates up and running.
Hope you get a side trip to NZ (go skiing in Queenstown) and see the real Down Under.
    Chris

    Joel,

Enjoy the trip over here. Yeah, what event are you talking at? Is it out at Homebush/Olympic Park?

Hopefully all this weather will be over by the time you get here but from watching the news tonight, it doesn't sound like it will be.

Ah well, rain, hail or shine, I'm sure you will enjoy your first time downunder... they all do!

    Hi Joel and Mary,
We have never met but I am one of your Canadian/Aus customers and I have also done that trip a few times in the past. All you need to do is learn how to say G'day cobber, I'll have a schooner of xxxx or Fosters or Vic bitter, or better still try them all.
    Have a great trip.

    Hi Joel,

When you come to Sydney would you mind bringing me a copy of your DVD that I ordered about a month ago now. It hasn't turned up yet.(Instant Resale Templates)

I know you are a trustworthy guy so I expect it will or you will pack me an extra in your suitcase for your trip!

    See you soon.

    Cheers,

We run them on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday mornings. For session times have a look at www.baristabasics.com.au or just call myself, Matt or Bob on 1300 366 188 and we will organise a class for you both.
