Post Secret

Posted on June 25, 2005 11:08 PM by Joel Comm

Here's a site that grabs you by your psyche, tosses you about like an emotional spin washer and causes you to marvel at the tremendous pain in the world.

The site is called Post Secret. What is it, you ask?

Imagine your deepest, darkest secret. Imagine that you couldn't tell a soul. But what if you could create an image on a postcard and anonymously mail it to a web site where your secret could be safely disclosed for all to see? If you have a creative/artistic flair, it's that much better.

Now you get the gist of the site. It's like viewing a beautiful train wreck from inside the mind's of Joe and Sally Anybody. They could be your neighbors... your best friends... or... you.

Warning: Many of the postcards sent in are NOT family-friendly. Use discretion when viewing this page.

Wow, what a great idea for a site! Wish I had thought of it first.

  2. Natalie Says:

This was a great idea. I heard The All-American Rejects made the song "Dirty Little Secrets" and its like dedicated to this site.

  3. Jessica Says:

Anytime I am ever away from my boyfriend I fall back into depression, the depression that he got me out of, the depression he has no idea about. I want to tell him, I know he would understand but I don't want it to seem like I need to be around him all of the time. I'm afraid of looking needy.

They already have a site called "Post secret"
    Along with a book.

The music video "Dirty Little Secret" features some of the secrets already in the book.

Good try on the site, but it's been done.

  6. Connie Says:

Wow, what a terrific website. I bet it really makes those people feel better after they let out their secrets. It is good to do that even if it is only on an anonamous blog.

Don't take that trash to the grave. Give it up, trash it and go on with your life

  7. Sydney Says:

I love this kid that moved, now i cry and cut myself

    I think i am a bi sexual

  8. Tom Lee Says:

This website is great, I guess we all have some 'secrets' we could unload now and then, and this is an easy way to do it.
