Problem Solved

Posted on February 15, 2005 10:18 PM by Joel Comm

I had a nightmare of a day yesterday, mostly due to problems with one of my web servers. The computer kept slowing down to a crawl and then locking up so that no one could access any of my pages. I had two techies look at the site and it wasn't until this morning that my webmaster solved the problem.

As it turned out, a feature of the site was no longer functioning properly. When someone tried to use it, it ended up sucking all the processor power in an attempt to make it work. It got into some sort of endless loop and brought the server to its knees.

But the problem was resolved this morning and all is well within WorldVillage. Phew... close call.

    Hi Joel
I am the least likely person to understand the web. but if you take a look at the site, I was told to tell people it's in Bata. You may want to add your expertise. I know people from all walks of life will want to be part of this project you may just be one of them
