So many sites, so little time

There's something about building new web sites that stokes me. It's that feeling of making something from nothing that gets my creative juices flowing. Certainly, it is important to run a profitable business. But sometimes it is more satisfying to build a site that people enjoy. It seems I am always in the center of two or three new projects, and I rarely run out of ideas to build more.

My biggest weakness is not a lack of ideas. It is a lack of talent. I can't design attractive sites. I have to hire a professional to do the site design. And while I am highly literate as a computer operator, I can't program my way out of a paper bag. Again, I have to hire someone more knowledgable than myself to provide this function.

So what DO I do? People are always asking me that question. I usually respond with "If you figure it out, please tell me. I don't know what I do."

If I could do graphic design and write program code, I would rule the universe. Well, my little segment of the universe, anyhow. It's very small and non-threatening. I promise.
