Standards for Ethical Internet Marketing

Posted on February 16, 2011 12:38 AM

I recently wrote a few articles that created quite a bit of response from my readers. Where is the Integrity in Internet Marketing? challenged many of the all-too-common tactics used by unscrupulous marketers. I invited my readers to share their thoughts and experiences related to these issues, and the comments that followed were both insightful and instructional. Let's face it. When it comes to selling a product or service, marketing approaches are all over the... Continue Reading

AdSense Secrets v5.0 is coming soon

Posted on January 11, 2011 9:09 AM

It's been almost THREE YEARS since I came out with the last edition of AdSense Secrets. V4.0 was released in April of 2008. Since the material in this book has become very dated, I have been giving it away for free for a time. Much has changed with the Google AdSense program, and much has changed in the online world. So I've been hard at work at a completely revised, updated and expanded 2011 edition... Continue Reading

Where is the Integrity in Internet Marketing?

Posted on January 10, 2011 1:03 AM

While I have been doing business online since 1995, I entered the Internet marketing arena in 2005. When I began selling an ebook detailing my strategies for making money with websites using Google AdSense, I found myself at the forefront of the marketplace. In the years that followed, I was sucked into a swirling vortex of product launches, live events and teleseminars. I met many other Internet marketers and developed relationships with some. Over the... Continue Reading

Failure is the Road to Success

Posted on November 11, 2010 5:02 AM

Failure. The word is laced with negative connotations. That's why I think failure gets a bum rap. Failing at something is not necessarily a bad thing. It just means you are trying. And it means you have found a way to not succeed. Thomas Edison went through thousands of experiments before his first lightbulb was illuminated. Ben Franklin is quoted as stating, "I didn't fail the test, I just found one hundred ways to do... Continue Reading

The Law of Attraction is Nonsense

Posted on October 7, 2010 3:27 AM

A few years ago I heard people in the Internet marketing circles talking about "The Secret." I was told it was an amazing film featuring successful people demonstrating a "law of the universe" that had been hidden from the majority of mere mortals. Starring in this film based on a book by Rhonda Byrne were such people as Joe Vitale, James Arthur Ray, Michael Beckwith, David Schirmer and Bill Harris, among otthers. I decided to... Posted on August 26, 2010 10:33 AM

I received an email solicitation today to take part in an alleged competition that is due to take place starting in October. It's called (brace yourself...) "The Internet Marketing World Cup" (goooooooooalllll!) It is likely you will be hearing more about this in the future so I thought it would be interesting to dissect it and share some thoughts. A Blueprint for Web Design

Posted on April 26, 2010 1:08 PM

A 2006 study found that viewers made subconscious decisions about the quality and credibility of web pages in just 1/20th of a second. In this blink of an eye, viewers did not have enough time to read text or even recognize photos, but instead were reacting only to the site's layout. Even when the participants had more time to look at the site, the research found that they only attempted to reinforce this initial conclusion. Continue Reading

Free Google Buzz Report

Posted on March 19, 2010 9:29 AM

It seems like an eternity ago that MySpace first hit the web. But it was 2003 when the site launched and 2006 when it became the most popular social networking site on the web. Things have dramatically changed in a short period of time. Facebook overtook MySpace as the leader just a brief two years later. Which leaves me asking the questions Why would anyone continue to use MySpace? Who ARE these people? Regardless, social... Continue Reading

December 12, 2008. A day that will live in infamy. The aftershocks are still being felt (and smelt) throughout the iPhone universe. And the world has never been quite the same. For on that day, iFart Mobile was released to an iTunes AppStore public unaware of what was to come. Pure global flatulence domination. Continue Reading

Project Planning 2.0: Research

Posted on January 1, 2010 3:32 PM

A well-planned project is the essence of efficiency and cost effectiveness. I am assuming with this article that you have already done the first phase of planning a project, which is a laundry list of things that you want your project to contain. I will be using the example of setting up a personal website. In phase one, I determined that I wanted a blog, a photo gallery, and a contact form. Phase two... Continue Reading
