I received an 8 1/2" x 11" envelope today addressed to my business. Real official looking stuff. I open it up and it is a notice of estimated cash payment and claim form for a class action suit. Study Links Celebrex to Heart Problems

Look out folks, another anti-arthritis drug has been linked to cardiovascular problems. Pfizer says a new study found an increased risk of heart problems with the painkiller Celebrex. Last month, Vioxx was withdrawn from the market. You know what this means, doncha? Unleash the ambulence chasers! Vioxx Hysteria?

And so, the litigation hounds once again are unleashed on the prescription drug community. This time it is over Vioxx, an anti-arthitic drug manufactured by Merck. Research has long pointed to the fact that long-term use of Vioxx may contribute to heart attacks and strokes. Perhaps the FDA didn't study the drug long enough.
