Unfriending on Facebook for Fun and Sanity

Posted on April 25, 2011 8:18 AM

Facebook can be very frustrating. Early on, I accepted every friend request that came my way. I was being social, right? Shortly after hitting my 5000 friend limit, my account was suspended. After creating a bit of a hullaballoo (don't get to use that word very often), my account was re-activated. Then came pages. Now I had a place to send people who wanted to follow me. The numbers quickly grew. But my Facebook stream... Continue Reading

The Entertaining Democrats

Posted on February 12, 2004 11:15 AM

Well, here we are in 2004. So far, it feels a lot like 2003. We had a great time with friends tonight. In fact, the last guests just left for the evening (It's 3 am!) We missed the ball in Times Square, but we did get to view the celebration in Oklahoma City at Midnight. Here is a cool panoramic view of Times Square with Dick Clark and a cast of thousands. Katherine Hepburn 1907-2003

Posted on June 29, 2003 7:11 PM

'Tis a sad day for fans of the "old" movies. One of the last great living legends is no more. Katherine Hepburn passed away at the ripe old age of 96. About 12 years ago, Mary and I went through a period of watching tons of old movies. The stars of old includeed Clark Gable, Jimmy Stewart, Spencer Tracy, Gary Cooper, and Katherine Hepburn. My personal favorite is The Philadelphia Story, which co-starred Cary Grant... Continue Reading
