I can't believe I have been doing business online since 1995. It seems like so long ago, and yet just yesterday. The first ten or so years were spent creating content-rich websites for the consumer marketplace. I built and sold several of these sites. It wasn't until 2005 that I entered the Internet marketing arena with my first ebook, "What Google Never Told You About Making Money with AdSense." Over two dozen ebooks, several products... How do you feel about celebrities?
Are you in awe when you meet someone that is well-known?
Do you get nervous when speaking with them?
Do you attribute value to people based on their status?
How do you treat those that appear to have achieved the level of status, wealth, fame or power that you may aspire to? Continue Reading

(Written by guest contributor Andrew Albritton) There are thousands of advertisers looking for good-fit publishers to not just promote but successfully generate leads and sales on a pay-for-performance basis. Unfortunately for the advertisers, they are outnumbered by publishers actively generating considerable commissions. Not unlike The Dating Game, attracting and successfully courting top publishers is not as easy as it sounds. In working with many advertisers on a regular basis and being approached by many more... One of the most frequently asked questions that seems to surface again and again is "How do I start an online business with very little money?" Unlike brick and mortar businesses that frequently require retail or office space, inventory of products and an in-house staff, an online business can be run from home with no inventory and outsourced staff. This entry will lay out the absolute bare essentials needed to start your own online business... Continue Reading

At this point, you've done your research, created a compelling and competitive offer, and started outreaching to affiliates. So, now that your program is gaining traction and you have some affiliates on board, what's next? Continue Reading

What do people see when they look at you? Initially, they see your physical appearance. However, I believe our bodies are really a small part of who we really are. Man is a three-part being. We are body, soul and spirit. The body is just a casing (or an earthsuit as John Eldredge likes to say) to give our real selves something to walk around in during our brief stay on this planet. And yet... Continue Reading

There are about seven billion people on the planet. Every one of us is different. Every one of us has opinions, tastes, inclinations and preferences.
And every one of us is difficult to please.
If you work hard at marketing your website and your products, you'll be able to put them in front of a few thousand of those people. Work really hard and build successful products, and maybe millions will see them.

Apart from Twitter's own terms of service which prohibit obvious things like harassment, transmitting viruses and spamming other members, there really aren't many rules to the site. You can essentially use Twitter however you like. However, for people and businesses who want to use Twitter successfully (eg: build a following and grow their circle of influence), there are a number of best practices that can be observed. I cover many of these in my book... Continue Reading

You've heard the saying about not being able to fool all the people all the time.
You probably also know then that you can't please all the people all the time too.
It's an impossibility. It doesn't matter how good your content, how wonderful your website or what a great job you do, you're always going to get people who write in and complain.

I had the privilege of speaking to one thousand people at a seminar this weekend. One the things I hear from attendees again and again is how "real" I am on stage. I take that a compliment, because to be otherwise would be to act "phony." After considering these kinds of comments, I wonder how many people aren't "real" on stage or some other part of their lives. I think one reason that speakers/performers struggle... Continue Reading

I decided to bring my son with me to the Book Expo in Los Angeles. I knew that I had a pass to get in, but I was told that I would need to purchase a pass for Z. Turns out it would cost me $230. When we arrived at the conference center, I decided that I would find a friendly face behind the exhibitors registration desk and see what I could do. I asked... Continue Reading

There are people who get things in life and there are those who don't,
What's the difference?
I find that those who get things and make more things happen are unafraid to ask for them.
Whether we are talking about making the sale, getting a complimentary upgrade on an airline or getting a date, I find that there is an axiom that rings true across the board...
"It never hurts to ask!" Continue Reading

Do you ever go to Google to search for your name?
A search for David results in 719,000,000 web pages. Zoiks!
A search for Brenda presents 31,500,000 results.
And search for Fred will get you 120,000,000 results, including a stock chart for Fred's, Inc, whoever that is.
Last year, I Googled my name to see where I came up in the results. Continue Reading
