25 Computer Games That Rocked My World

Posted on July 2, 2010 11:10 AM

I've been a computer gamer since the dawn of the home computer. I bought a TRS-80 Model I computer in 1980. At 16-years old, I gathered my hard-earned cash (from working at the mall food court) and spent it all on what was the bleeding edge of home computing technology. This computer had 4K of smokin' hot RAM. The storage device was a radio shack cassette tape player. Oh, yeah. We're talking hot stuff. Anyhow... Continue Reading

A Blueprint for Web Design

Posted on April 26, 2010 1:08 PM

A 2006 study found that viewers made subconscious decisions about the quality and credibility of web pages in just 1/20th of a second. In this blink of an eye, viewers did not have enough time to read text or even recognize photos, but instead were reacting only to the site's layout. Even when the participants had more time to look at the site, the research found that they only attempted to reinforce this initial conclusion. Continue Reading

Before you go any further, I must tell you that this article is NOT a movie review. Rather, it is a smack to the side of the head of Activision regarding the release of the new PC game of the same name. Available last week, amidst much hype due to the release of the movie, Spiderman 2: The Game was promised to be an extremely open-ended game where you had all of Manhattan Island to... Red River, Day 2

Posted on July 21, 2003 10:29 PM

The kids were up at the crack of dawn, around 6:15 am. But we didn't mind much as we all slept through the night pretty good. I usually don't sleep my first night at high altitude, so it was refreshing. I was still tired, but it was fine. We lazed around the room for a good while before jumping in the car to explore. We decided to drive to Questa, about 10 miles west of... Continue Reading
