I wasn't always a fan of roller coasters. When I was a little boy they terrified me. I think my mother took me on one and in my mind that would be the last time I would ever ride one. I remember seeing Space Mountain at Walt Disney World and thinking to myself "no way!" Sometime around fifteen years old that changed. I was at Marriott's Great America in Gurnee, Illinois, with my best friend... Continue Reading

(Written by guest contributor Fletcher Groeneman) This article is a continuation of our series on branding. (Read Part 1 and Part 2.) By now you have drawn up a list that effectively describes exactly what you want your product to accomplish. You have swallowed your pride and presented your loved ones with this list and allowed them to refine and tweak your dreams. Finally, you have compared this list with products already on the market... Continue Reading

(Written by guest contributor Chris Harper) Last week, when faced with a pretty tight deadline and a creative block the size of Rhode Island, I was in serious need of some inspiration. The normal tricks of getting out of my office or getting hopped up on caffeine and sugar were useless. So when it looked like all was lost, I popped open my iTunes library and started looking for the perfect song that would carry... Continue Reading

There are about seven billion people on the planet. Every one of us is different. Every one of us has opinions, tastes, inclinations and preferences.
And every one of us is difficult to please.
If you work hard at marketing your website and your products, you'll be able to put them in front of a few thousand of those people. Work really hard and build successful products, and maybe millions will see them.

As I'm sure you read on my blog or elsewhere on the web, Facebook had suspended my account.
After sending a few emails and having some friends with contacts at Facebook work on my behalf, my account has been reinstated.
Here is the email I received from them... Continue Reading

Mary was out of town at a conference yesterday, so I wanted to find something fun for the kids and myself to do together. Last week, I found out that a new place opened up on Northwest Expressway in Warr Acres, OK, where an old Wal-Mart used to be. It is called "Incredible Pizza". I asked a friend about it and was told that they opened up about six months ago. They described it as... Continue Reading

I was 13 years old in 1977. The release of Star Wars that year had whet my appetite for sci-fi space movies. So when Disney released The Black Hole in 1979, I had to go see it. I can't remember if I liked it or not, to be truthful. I recently purchased the movie on DVD, thinking it would fondly remind me of my childhood. Instead, it put me to sleep. Seriously. Waaaay asleep. Mary... Continue Reading

Way back in July 2004, Disney released America's Heart and Soul without any fanfare. I reported about the release of the movie and indicated that I was eager to see it. While the film received virtually no screen time, it is now available on DVD. I finally viewed the movie tonight and I am perplexed as to why Disney did not put some promotion muscle behind this brilliant and inspiring picture! America's Heart and Soul... Continue Reading

The Incredibles is Disney/Pixars' latest cash cow. Can these people do no wrong? Pixar has animated toys, bugs, monsters and fish. But one realm they had not covered to date was people. The wait is over. I took the kids to see The Incredibles yesterday and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The Incredibles is a story of super heroes who have been exiled by the government and the people, due to ever-increasing litigation incurred as... Continue Reading

Now HERE is a movie that Americans need to see, and its not that anti-American Michael Moore propaganda. Opening at theatres nationwide on July 2nd is America's Heart and Soul, a Disney film full of inspiring stories and vignettes that reveal that REAL America and what makes it the best place in the world to live. Louis Schwartzberg set off for the fruited plains with his camera and the hopes of capturing what makes America... Continue Reading

Let's face it. Since Michael Eisner took the helm at Disney, the "Walt" has literally been taken out of the Walt Disney Company. In the past decade or so, Disney's motion picture studio has continually promoted and released dozens of films that are anything but family-friendly. The theme parks have celebrated alternative lifestyles by promoting "gay days". Money has become the absolute bottom line and many supporters have protested this direction. Well, things are shaking... Continue Reading

We left Philadelphia early this morning and jumped on the highway towards Hershey, Pennsylvania. The kids have been looking forward to our visit to Chocolate World for the whole trip, so the anticipation had been building. Hershey's Chocolate World was just plain fun. Pulling into the parking lot gives you the feeling of, "Uh oh, there goes the diet!" The first thing we did was check out the free Chocolate Tour Ride, a Disney-style track... Continue Reading
