Are You Stuck in a Rut?

Posted on November 15, 2010 11:14 AM

Have you ever gotten your car stuck in a ditch? Your rear tires desperately try to find traction only to spin deeper and deeper into the mud. The more you step on the gas, the worse your situation becomes. And now you are spraying mud everywhere. It can even end up on other people and their vehicles. You can keep trying to get out of the ditch. Or you can realize that what you are... Continue Reading

I've put a lot of hours into World of Warcraft. Maybe some would say that I've put too many hours into World of Warcraft. But I enjoyed that time, so those people are wrong. Continue Reading

Combining Work With Pleasure

Posted on July 23, 2010 11:02 AM

When people dream about ditching the J.O.B. and working for themselves, they tend to focus on the good things. They see themselves taking time off whenever they want. They imagine themselves commuting from the main bedroom to the spare bedroom. They love the fact that their future is in their own hands. Continue Reading

My Favorite Gadgets

Posted on February 14, 2010 9:34 AM

It's been said that the only difference between men and boys are the price of their toys. I don't know if that's still true, but I do know that I've always been into gadgets. Money was tossed about like confetti as venture capitalist waved millions of Benjamins at anything with a dotcom for a suffix. Then the bubble burst. Enter Internet v2.0. Continue Reading

I occassionally receive email that looks like this... "Dear Joel, I have purchased your ebook and applied your strategies to my web pages. It's been a week and I am not making any money. It just doesn't work" Welcome to our microwave society. We want our popcorn done in sixty seconds. And if we can get someone else to put it in the microwave and prepare it for us, all the better. So what is... Continue Reading

5 pounds for the week!

Posted on May 19, 2003 1:24 PM

Well, I ended up losing 5 pounds last week. I think I hit my first plateau and I'm fine with that. Ended up pigging out on Chinese food over the weekend. I even had a friend egg-roll. Yum! I am back on track this week and hope I can ditch an additional 5 pounds. Thanks to those of you who have encouraged me with your comments. I am walking on the treadmill an hour a...
