What I Want To Be When I Grow Up

Posted on January 9, 2012 1:17 AM

"When you are through changing, you are through." - Bruce Barton Change is inevitable. Apart from death and taxes, change is the only thing in this life that we can count on. This past year has found me in the midst of much change. After a number of years as an author, speaker and entrepreneur, I have spent the last year quietly reassessing my life. Taking some time away from work, I've been tending to... Continue Reading

Where is the Integrity in Internet Marketing?

Posted on January 10, 2011 1:03 AM

While I have been doing business online since 1995, I entered the Internet marketing arena in 2005. When I began selling an ebook detailing my strategies for making money with websites using Google AdSense, I found myself at the forefront of the marketplace. In the years that followed, I was sucked into a swirling vortex of product launches, live events and teleseminars. I met many other Internet marketers and developed relationships with some. Over the... Continue Reading

Healthy Eating at the Office

Posted on October 19, 2010 7:38 AM

Experts say that you should eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. I believe they are probably correct, but I have a really hard time adjusting my eating habits that much. I'm more likely to skip breakfast altogether, eat a decent lunch and pig out for dinner. I'm also likely to have a mid-afternoon snack to satisfy my sweet tooth. That has all changed. For the past six... Continue Reading

The Compound Effect

Posted on October 13, 2010 8:00 AM

I've been at Project Fit for about a month now. My goal has been to prove you don't need to go to extremes in order to lose weight and become healthier. There's nothing wrong with extreme exercising as it really can't do you harm. But there is a problem with extreme dieting. I don't want to be extreme in any way. After reading The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy, I wanted to put his theories... Continue Reading

MPEG Streamclip - The Swiss Army Knife of Video Encoders

Posted on June 12, 2010 10:54 AM

(Written by guest contributor Chris Harper) I realized that I needed to write about this piece of software when I recommended it to someone for the third time in recent memory. What struck me was that each thing that I recommended it for was different. One person needed to convert some files from a proprietary AVC-HD codec that her editing software couldn't read, another was looking to pull some material from a DVD, and the... Continue Reading

I've Been Turned into a Cartoon

Posted on May 22, 2010 10:28 AM

Several years ago someone drew a characture of me as the "mayor" of WorldVillage.com, my first website. I'm having a hard time locating the original image, so I don't have it to show to you. However, in my quest to put Fiverr.com to the test, I decided to try this one out... I will design/create a comic character or cartoon for $5. Continue Reading

You Are Your Brand Part 2- Improve Yourself

Posted on May 10, 2010 1:06 PM

(Written by guest contributor Fletcher Groeneman) Last time we discussed the first step in the process of branding, "know yourself." This time I would like to build on that foundation. If you feel you have a solid idea of what you or your product wants to become, it is time to learn how to best present it. While it's true you may have a great product, every product has its weaknesses. The good news is... Continue Reading

Posted on April 14, 2010 3:16 PM

(Written by guest contributor Loral Langemeier) In times of economic uncertainty, people tend to reexamine their relationship with money. Those who are avid wealth builders make necessary adjustments to maintain their lifestyle and stay above water. For those caught in a "make /spend" cycle, these can be very scary times indeed, splashing about without a life preserver. If you're making bad choices with money, now is the time to evaluate your situation. You and I... Continue Reading

Type on the Web

Posted on April 12, 2010 1:40 PM

If text is your message, then your use of text is your tone. Typography is the art and technique of arranging type, type design, and modifying type glyphs. In fact, the aesthetic you create through the use of typography often goes further in creating an atmosphere of professionalism, credibility, and organization than the content of the text itself. This article and next week's will be focused on helping you achieve better results in your designs... Continue Reading
