I can't believe I have been doing business online since 1995. It seems like so long ago, and yet just yesterday. The first ten or so years were spent creating content-rich websites for the consumer marketplace. I built and sold several of these sites. It wasn't until 2005 that I entered the Internet marketing arena with my first ebook, "What Google Never Told You About Making Money with AdSense." Over two dozen ebooks, several products... Over the past few weeks I've been sharing information about how people are creating and selling websites for a tidy profit. In fact, some people are doing nothing BUT flipping websites! Now you know I am a big fan of creating content sites and growing them over the long haul. It's a great way to build a portfolio and generate AdSense revenue. However, even I have found the website flipping business quite lucrative. So much... Continue Reading

"To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven." - Ecclesiastes 3:1 Nothing lasts forever. Change is inevitable. Over the past fifteen or so years I have created dozens of websites, products, services and applications that run the gamut of new media. Content sites, information products, member sites, web-based software, iPhone applications, mobile marketing platforms, entertainment sites and more. During that time I have had some tremendous successes and some... Continue Reading

Can you imagine using the word "blog" ten years ago? Very few people would have had any idea what you were talking about. The word doesn't really roll of your tongue. Today, almost everyone knows what a blog is. And millions of people have their own blog. Blogging is a great form of self-expression. But it's also a great way to generate some revenue online. The biggest problem many bloggers have is getting started with... Continue Reading

In the last year my company has had a lot of success with Clickbank, the world's most trusted digital marketplace. We currently have a half dozen products in the Clickbank marketplace and they generate a steady income for my company. One thing all those products have in common is that they were all setup, launched and managed by my VP of Ideas, Dan Nickerson. Dan has become an expert at the rapid development and launch... On September 1st, 2010, I weighed in at over 225 pounds. I didn't step on the scale often because it wasn't very good news. My energy levels were low. My blood pressure was high. And I was moody. I didn't want to feel that way anymore. I had lost weight in the past, but I wasn't sure I could do it again. After all, I DID balloon back to my previous weight AND put on... Continue Reading

If you have a book up your sleeve, or maybe even already written, a logical next question is how to bring your book to the world. There are more options out there these days than there ever have been before, but sometimes the various options can be paralyzing, especially for someone who's never published anything before. (And maybe even for those who have.) When you are considering the following options, always keep in mind what... Continue Reading

I've been using email for a very long time. I think my first email address was an AOL.com address from version 1.0 of their software. Since that time I have had multiple email addresses. I no longer use the AOL.com address, but it is still active! I have two primary email accounts that I use today. One of them is my corporate account and the other is my personal account. Both addresses have become inundated... Continue Reading

Still sitting on an idea for a blog without having done anything about it yet? It's probably time to get rolling. Get some hosting, buy the domain, and find a theme you like (we're partial to Socrates), and you're ready to start in on the content. But before you jump in, here are a few things you should be ready for before going live with your new website: Continue Reading

(Written by guest contributor Andrew Albritton) To say they're the latest craze in online shopping would be an understatement. Groupon, Living Social, Social Buy etc. have taken the web by storm, revolutionizing how "deal of the day" type websites meet local brick and mortar business. Traditional "Deal of the day" type sites are typically affiliates that have great discounts from advertisers that have a large online presence and may not even have brick and mortar... As I travel around our country, I can not help but notice the epidemic of homelessness. There are so many people on the streets of our cities. How many more are there that we DON'T see? We've all encountered homeless people in our cities or towns. My heart goes out to those who don't have a safe place to rest their heads. It's even more heartbreaking when those people are children. I recently had the... Continue Reading

Are you in awe when you meet someone that is well-known?
Do you get nervous when speaking with them?
Do you attribute value to people based on their status?

I've been online since 1995. That feels like a ridiculously long time. I can remember when programs were written in Basic and games came on floppy disks that held less information than the memory card I now put in my camera. Continue Reading
