I can't believe I have been doing business online since 1995. It seems like so long ago, and yet just yesterday. The first ten or so years were spent creating content-rich websites for the consumer marketplace. I built and sold several of these sites. It wasn't until 2005 that I entered the Internet marketing arena with my first ebook, "What Google Never Told You About Making Money with AdSense." Over two dozen ebooks, several products... "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven." - Ecclesiastes 3:1 Nothing lasts forever. Change is inevitable. Over the past fifteen or so years I have created dozens of websites, products, services and applications that run the gamut of new media. Content sites, information products, member sites, web-based software, iPhone applications, mobile marketing platforms, entertainment sites and more. During that time I have had some tremendous successes and some... Continue Reading

Can you imagine using the word "blog" ten years ago? Very few people would have had any idea what you were talking about. The word doesn't really roll of your tongue. Today, almost everyone knows what a blog is. And millions of people have their own blog. Blogging is a great form of self-expression. But it's also a great way to generate some revenue online. The biggest problem many bloggers have is getting started with... Continue Reading

On September 1st, 2010, I weighed in at over 225 pounds. I didn't step on the scale often because it wasn't very good news. My energy levels were low. My blood pressure was high. And I was moody. I didn't want to feel that way anymore. I had lost weight in the past, but I wasn't sure I could do it again. After all, I DID balloon back to my previous weight AND put on... Continue Reading

As I travel around our country, I can not help but notice the epidemic of homelessness. There are so many people on the streets of our cities. How many more are there that we DON'T see? We've all encountered homeless people in our cities or towns. My heart goes out to those who don't have a safe place to rest their heads. It's even more heartbreaking when those people are children. I recently had the... Continue Reading

How do you feel about celebrities?
Are you in awe when you meet someone that is well-known?
Do you get nervous when speaking with them?
Do you attribute value to people based on their status?
How do you treat those that appear to have achieved the level of status, wealth, fame or power that you may aspire to? Continue Reading

The press release is a mysterious thing. You may have been told how important it is to write and distribute press releases, but you may not be doing it or you may be doing it for the wrong reasons. Continue Reading

Everyone's heard the expression, "It takes money to make money." While the Internet has allowed many of us to bend this rule a bit, for the most part it's still very true. Continue Reading

While viewing my Twitter stream, I encountered a tweet from an associate that included an expletive. We're talking the F-bomb. I've heard this person speak before and I was reminded of how often he cursed in a keynote before thousands of people. While I have great respect for this indivdual and what he has accomplished, I couldn't help but wonder if he knew how much of his audience he was alienating. I put out a... Continue Reading

I'm going to try something new. Typically, I write articles designed to inspire or educate. Occasionally I'll discuss a product or service I think you'll find valuable. And from time to time I share a little bit of my own life with you. I have an idea for a weekly "roundup" of sorts that I'll use to discuss things that are happening with me, my business, in the industry or whatever else crosses my mind... Continue Reading

One of the most frequently asked questions that seems to surface again and again is "How do I start an online business with very little money?" Unlike brick and mortar businesses that frequently require retail or office space, inventory of products and an in-house staff, an online business can be run from home with no inventory and outsourced staff. This entry will lay out the absolute bare essentials needed to start your own online business... Continue Reading

Everyone's got a good idea, and they constantly dream of finding the perfect person who will hand them a briefcase of cash in exchange for that idea. To be honest, that's just not realistic. Ideas are pretty much worthless, unless you take action on them. Continue Reading

Tragedies have a way of helping us forget our differences and of reminding us how vulnerable we all are. The massive earthquake in Haiti has claimed tens of thousands of lives and devastated the very small country. Thankfully, support and aid is pouring in from all over the world. With so much need, it's hard to believe that every little bit makes a difference. But it does. Thanks to the leadership of Justin Williams at... Continue Reading

I've spent some time in the Internet marketing space for just about five years now. Over that period of time, I've seen dozens of people who call themselves Internet marketers. I've also seen hundreds of products. Software, ebooks, courses, you name it... I've seen it all. Some people in Interent marketing are worth listening to because they are bringing value to the table. They are entrepreneurs with real solutions who are able to sell their... Continue Reading
