Access My Internet Marketing Training for Free

Posted on January 16, 2012 12:23 AM

I can't believe I have been doing business online since 1995. It seems like so long ago, and yet just yesterday. The first ten or so years were spent creating content-rich websites for the consumer marketplace. I built and sold several of these sites. It wasn't until 2005 that I entered the Internet marketing arena with my first ebook, "What Google Never Told You About Making Money with AdSense." Over two dozen ebooks, several products... Read Up on Your Business

Posted on January 18, 2011 4:36 PM

If you're not regularly reading up on ways to make your online business grow, you should be. And while blogs and ebooks are extremely valuable, don't overlook reading the old-fashioned way: print books. While some in the Internet world might argue that books are out of date the minute they hit the shelves, there is still a lot to be said for exposing yourself to ideas that stood the test of editors and publishers and... Posted on November 17, 2010 4:06 PM

We talk a lot on this site about the ins and outs of creating and selling your own information products online, but what about all the information products that are already out there? To Self-Publish or Not to Self-Publish

Posted on October 26, 2010 12:50 PM

If you have a book up your sleeve, or maybe even already written, a logical next question is how to bring your book to the world. There are more options out there these days than there ever have been before, but sometimes the various options can be paralyzing, especially for someone who's never published anything before. (And maybe even for those who have.) When you are considering the following options, always keep in mind what... Continue Reading

Share the Love

Posted on October 21, 2010 5:56 AM

I recently enjoyed a meal with my daughter at Hu Hot Mongolian Grill in Fort Collins. It's our favorite place to enjoy build-your-own stir fry. Very tasty. As we were leaving the table, I heard my name called out. "Joel"... I turned around to a gentlemen looking at me. I didn't recognize him so I am scanning the recesses of my brain very rapidly to try to recall where I know him from. As it... Continue Reading

The Art of Free

Posted on October 5, 2010 12:19 PM

There is a counter-intuitive truth to monetizing websites and online businesses: the more you give away for free, the more money you tend to make. Sounds crazy, but it has proven to be true time and time again. The reason is that through giving away your knowledge and possibly even products for free, you build customer trust and loyalty and you solidify your brand. Since your readers and fans don't have to worry about you... Continue Reading

What's Wrong with Internet Marketing?

Posted on August 8, 2010 3:38 PM

There's a very disturbing trend taking place in the Internet marketing world. I am specifically referring to the Infoproduct "make money online" niche. I've had one foot in this market for the past few years, but I am increasingly dismayed by what I see happening. I say "one foot" because my products and services are very diverse and most are not in the IM niche. However, it's time someone came forward to draw a line... Continue Reading

Why I Give Stuff Away (And Why You Should Too!)

Posted on July 2, 2010 1:30 PM

I've given away a ton of stuff in my time. Ebooks, special reports, software, you name it. Of course, my blog content is free too. All of those free things were valuable. Often, they were products that people had been paying hundreds of dollars for... until I decided to give them away for nothing. There's no point in handing out the kinds of products that no one wants. That doesn't do any good at all. Continue Reading

Organize Your Creative Files

Posted on May 31, 2010 2:50 PM

Perhaps it is the way creatives are wired or the difficulties of collaborative projects, but too often creatives have a file management system that is.....well, "creative." Organization is often not one of our strengths. Yet keeping advertisements, stock photography, designs, proofs, versions, illustrations, and production files organized will maximize your efficiency and your ability to collaborate with all the members of your team. Helping Others Helps You

Posted on May 28, 2010 2:31 PM

I've created a bunch of different products during my career. Not all of them have been giant successes. But many have been, and there's a theme that runs through many of the most successful items I've made. Continue Reading

Examine Your Site's Focus

Posted on May 25, 2010 1:40 PM

It's hard to adequately stress the importance of focus and purpose on your website. Since you are reading the Top One Report, we're going to assume that you have a website, or lots of websites, or are at the very least planning to have a website. We look at a lot of sites here at InfoMedia in our work with entrepreneurs like you. Many times we have opened a site from a customer or associate... Continue Reading
