Allow me to introduce you to my nephew, Jordan Benker. I know him as Jordy, and he is a very talented young musician. Why am I writing about Jordan today? Obviously, I care about him and I want to see him succeed. But I've got another angle. This past week I observed something very interesting happening with Jordan while following his Facebook posts. There was a discussion saying that his name trended worldwide on Twitter... Continue Reading

In this episode of Project Fit, I paid a visit to my alternative medicine doctor to get a second opinion on what I needed to do to become more healthy. We discussed a number of things, including the foods I eat, my exercise plan and my cholesterol levels. According to the American Cancer Society all men should be regularly checked for signs of prostate cancer at the age of fifty. I'm not fifty yet, but... Continue Reading

It's Monday morning and I am thinking about what I should write about today. As I ponder the things happening in my life, I consider my options. The new Twitter is coming. But I haven't seen it on my account yet, so that will have to wait. I'm a week into Project Fit, but I'm feeling kind of under the weather today. I've been invited to speak in Asia. It's exciting, but I don't think... Continue Reading

Some people love to exercise.
I am not one of those people.
However, it is important to move the body and get your heart rate to an aerobic zone.
In this episode of Project Fit I take a jog/stroll around my neighborhood.
I'm pretty candid with the reality of the situation. And shin splints aren't helping me along any.
Watch and be sure to leave your comments. Continue Reading

I'm on my way to losing weight and becoming more heart-healthy.
I believe whenever you are preparing to make a lifestyle change, it's a good idea to confer with your medical doctor.
In today's Project Fit episode I do just that.
I weigh in and discuss the changes I am making. Continue Reading

I received an email solicitation today to take part in an alleged competition that is due to take place starting in October.
It's called (brace yourself...)
"The Internet Marketing World Cup" (goooooooooalllll!)
It is likely you will be hearing more about this in the future so I thought it would be interesting to dissect it and share some thoughts. Continue Reading

I'm not a very good cook, so I tend to eat out a lot. I don't do a lot of fancy dining, but it's not unusual to find me and my family at a national chain or local diner. My experiences as a patron of restaurants has helped clarify what I believe makes a good waiter and what makes a bad waiter. Waiting tables is a difficult job. Hectic kitchens... unruly customers... angry cooks... wrong... Continue Reading

Allow me to introduce you to my biggest fan. Sheila Simkin is a grandmother many times over. She is an avid world traveler who has been on every continent. She read my book, The AdSense Code, a number of years ago. As a result, she got bit by the blogging bug. Now her site, TravelsWithSheila.com, receives thousands of visits each month. Sheila is passionate about sharing her travel experiences with others, and encouraging them to... Continue Reading

Is "change" coming to Wells Fargo Bank? I'm in Henderson, Nevada at Green Valley Ranch preparing to speech at James Malinchak's Millionaire Success Secrets event. The topic for my talk is "How to Get Google to Send You Money", which is about making money with AdSense. As part of my AdSense presentation, I use $50 - $75 in pennies to illustrate how little clicks add up to real money. So every time I visit a... Continue Reading

What's the best way to significantly raise your credibility and become a recognized expert in your field? By having your traditionally published book. With changes in the book industry, you no longer need to subject yourself to rejection or insulting royalties from the big publishing houses. In this episode of The Joel Comm Show, I speak with David Hancock of Morgan James Publishing. As publisher of the New York Times best-seller, The AdSense Code, David... Continue Reading

In this weekly update, you might find me trending a bit towards pop culture. There's just so much to talk about. The title of the entry sandwiches a very serious issue in between two entertaining, yet ultimately meaningless television programs for a reason. That's because the health care discussion (if you can call it that) that has taken place in the United States the past year has been largely void of substance. Instead, the current... I've not been a fan of American Idol, but since my wife and daughter watch it I am considering enjoying this season. They are currently in the audition episodes in which anyone can demonstrate just how untalented they are. Well, here's a guy that is already making a buzz and looks to be a YouTube sensation. His name is Larry Platt and he is a 62-year old retired General from Georgia. The name of the... Continue Reading

How often do we hear about celebrities that allow their fame to go to their head?
After all, the more people that know who you are the more special you must be, right?
Of course that's nonsense.
But that didn't stop me from poking fun at celebrity at my own expense!
I think you'll enjoy this excerpt from The Joel Comm Show. Continue Reading
