You probably run WordPress because you want your site to rank well on Google. That makes you smart -- WordPress is GREAT for that. Well, what would it be like to watch your Google ranking creep up and up every day for a while... ...and then to watch your rankings, your traffic, and your site's profits steadily decline to near zero? Well, it can happen when Google realizes that your posts and pages are STALE... Continue Reading

In the last year my company has had a lot of success with Clickbank, the world's most trusted digital marketplace. We currently have a half dozen products in the Clickbank marketplace and they generate a steady income for my company. One thing all those products have in common is that they were all setup, launched and managed by my VP of Ideas, Dan Nickerson. Dan has become an expert at the rapid development and launch... On September 1st, 2010, I weighed in at over 225 pounds. I didn't step on the scale often because it wasn't very good news. My energy levels were low. My blood pressure was high. And I was moody. I didn't want to feel that way anymore. I had lost weight in the past, but I wasn't sure I could do it again. After all, I DID balloon back to my previous weight AND put on... Continue Reading

Yesterday I scared little children around the world with photos of me at 225 pounds. I did warn you beforehand, so please don't send me your psycho-analysis and therapy bills. For the past three months I have been on The Joel Comm Diet, which is not a diet at all. Instead it combines common sense with a plan that works for me. I am pleased to say that three months later I have lost 35... Continue Reading

You are probably catching on to the fact that I am not promoting many products these days. That's because most products and services coming out are not worth promoting. When you see the proliferation of traffic products, social media products, list building products and all the other rehashed same-old, same-old coming out, I'm sure you'll agree that there aren't many original ideas out there right now. So when I DO have something to share with... Continue Reading

The Internet now contains over 124 million websites. They cover every topic you can imagine, many that you would never have imagined, and some that you would never want to imagine. Continue Reading

I'm trying to blog regularly for a number of reasons. First, it keeps me sharp. Blogging on a regular basis makes me think about things that are important to me. Second, it allows me to share with others. Whether or not you agree with what I say, think, feel or believe, my articles are an extension of my self. Third, it keeps my blog healthy with the search engines. Google and the other engines like... Continue Reading

If you have a book up your sleeve, or maybe even already written, a logical next question is how to bring your book to the world. There are more options out there these days than there ever have been before, but sometimes the various options can be paralyzing, especially for someone who's never published anything before. (And maybe even for those who have.) When you are considering the following options, always keep in mind what... Continue Reading

Experts say that you should eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. I believe they are probably correct, but I have a really hard time adjusting my eating habits that much. I'm more likely to skip breakfast altogether, eat a decent lunch and pig out for dinner. I'm also likely to have a mid-afternoon snack to satisfy my sweet tooth. That has all changed. For the past six... Continue Reading

Recently I went to one of my favorite restaurants for a quick lunch. I called in an order of Chicken Tortilla soup to-go and went to pick it up. While I was there I observed that the restaurant was not busy. It SHOULD have been busy, being lunchtime. But it wasn't. It was then I asked to see if the owner was there. I wanted to speak with him for his benefit. He came out... Continue Reading

Recently I was sent a link promoting a new Wordpress theme designed just for affiliate marketers and people wanting to build niche sites. Being the creator of the Socrates Theme, I had to take a look. Sure enough. Here come the copycats. I continue to be amazed at the utter lack of creativity in people who pass themselves off as "experts." Not only is the headline and a bunch of the copy on this new... Continue Reading

Sitting down to have a conversation with someone who is an expert in your niche or field of interest makes for a great blog post or article for your site. Not only are you exposing your readers to this knowledgeable person they may not know about, but you are also giving yourself the opportunity to learn things you didn't know and possibly to even find a mentor for you and your business. But don't just... Continue Reading
