George Clooney Lifts iFart Sales

Posted on November 20, 2011 3:56 PM

It's been almost THREE years since iFart stunk up the iTunes Appstore. On December 12, 2008, iFart exploded on the scene and the world has not been the same. I was perhaps the first app creator to go public with statistics related to sales and rank shortly after the app came out. iFart has now become a part of pop culture and iPhone history, even worthy of it's own Wikipedia page. Celebrities such as Helena... Continue Reading

A Visit to the Tattoo Parlor

Posted on November 26, 2010 2:21 AM

Once upon a time I said that I would never get a tattoo on my body. I didn't object to others getting one. They just weren't for me. Besides I'm allergic to pain. I break out in screaming. That's why no one was more surprised than I when the idea came to me just a little over a month ago. I was making my "bucket list" and the idea of having a tattoo suddenly seemed... Continue Reading

If a Tree Falls in a Forest...

Posted on November 19, 2010 7:57 AM

You've heard the old philosophical riddle "If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?" Raising questions about reality, this question has undoubtedly claimed countless hours of debate in the halls of our colleges and universities. I find it relevant today as I make changes in my business and life. As I pull back from my business, I begin to wonder what would happen... Continue Reading

Whose Dream Are You Chasing?

Posted on November 2, 2010 3:48 AM

Consumerism has a way of telling us what we want without really knowing who we are. It's safe to assume that most of us want to be healthy, have significant relationships and not carry any debt. But that doesn't mean we all want to have a six-pack, bed as many people as we can or be incredibly wealthy. You would think that those are the ultimate goals for life, according to Madison Avenue. It's just... Continue Reading

Living in the Moment

Posted on October 22, 2010 4:30 AM

Carpe Diem, goes the phrase. Literally translated "Seize the Day" from Latin, I first became familiar with the term from the film Dead Poets Society. While the film had a depressing twist, I am coming to understand more and more the need to take hold of the moments in our lives. It seems like just yesterday that my son was born. I remember changing that first poopie diaper as though the smell still lingers in... Continue Reading

End of the Spear

Posted on October 16, 2010 6:15 PM

While the modern world we live in tends to be civilized, there are still peoples in third world nations that are not plugged in to our technology-laden society. As recent as fifty years ago, the Waodani people of the Ecuadorian Amazon basin lived very primitively. Cut off from the rest of the world, the tribe was in a constant war with other tribes. By seeking revenge after revenge, the number in the Waodani tribe was... Continue Reading

What This Blog is About

Posted on October 12, 2010 10:00 AM

If you have been following this blog for any time, you probably know that it is not like other blogs. I don't have a template or formula for this blog. It is mine and I use it however I want. When I started blogging in 2003, my first entries were about my dog, my family and my travels. I blogged about my political views, current events and films I had recently seen. Then it happened... The Law of Attraction is Nonsense

Posted on October 7, 2010 3:27 AM

A few years ago I heard people in the Internet marketing circles talking about "The Secret." I was told it was an amazing film featuring successful people demonstrating a "law of the universe" that had been hidden from the majority of mere mortals. Starring in this film based on a book by Rhonda Byrne were such people as Joe Vitale, James Arthur Ray, Michael Beckwith, David Schirmer and Bill Harris, among otthers. I decided to... Wheatgrass Shot

Posted on October 1, 2010 8:32 AM

Wednesdays at our office is IntaJuice day. Everyone gets their choice of healthy fresh fruit or veggie juice. Since I am on a course to a healthier me, my assistant told me I should try a wheatgrass shot. After some resistance, I decided I would give it a go. I then pressured Dan into doing the shot with me. He really didn't want to do it, but he's a good sport. Continue Reading

#23 - Prince of Persia - The Sands of Time

Posted on September 19, 2010 1:21 PM

Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge. Those are the the five rules of dodgeball according to Patches O'Houlihan. But if you've ever played a Prince of Persia game, you may find those same rules apply. I never cared much for the original Prince of Persia side-scrollers made famous on the Apple IIe computer. (Though I DO have a copy of the original in my collection!) A failed attempt to go 3D by RedOrb in 1999... Continue Reading

Are aliens trying to tell us something?

Posted on September 2, 2010 9:52 PM

Did you ever see the movie, Signs, with Mel Gibson? In the film, the main character interacts with aliens. Is it really possible that intelligent beings would create crop circles to give us a message? I'm not a huge conspiracy buff, but from time to time strange things do occur. Are other forms of life trying to tell us something? Is there really a "secret" we should know? You have GOT to watch this video... Continue Reading

Why I Won't Be Starring in an Infomercial

Posted on September 1, 2010 7:02 AM

Earlier this year I received a Facebook message from a person representing a well-known author and speaker who has done quite well in the infomercial space. I was told their group was interested in meeting with me to explore the possibility of creating an infomercial that would feature me and teach people about the opportunity for making money on the Internet. Now I have received calls similar to this many times before. Usually it turns... Continue Reading

The Right Stuff- Creative Tools You Need

Posted on August 12, 2010 1:20 PM

What's the real secret to getting things done? While much of the answer lies in things like motivation and daily habits, you also can't ignore the value of the tools you use every day to do the work. We polled our staff to find out what's running on their machines here at the office and at home. What we found is that our office has some universal solutions, and then seemed to split departmentally. So... Continue Reading
