Would You Watch Me Lose 40 Pounds?

Posted on September 7, 2010 6:09 AM

I've got a confession to make. I am fat. That's not P-H-A-T as in "cool". That's F-A-T as in chunky, large, and overweight. On top of that, I am not physically fit. It's no surprise. As an online entrepreneur who spends a lot of time in front of a computer, I've become sedentary. It's a fairly common story. Once upon a time I was both slim AND physically fit. In fact, you might be surprised... Continue Reading

#24 - Microsoft Flight Simulator

Posted on August 22, 2010 12:11 AM

Who doesn't dream of the extraordinary feeling of taking to the air like a bird? While that sensation can only be simulated in this life, we are fortunate to live in a time where air travel is commonplace. But even though people CAN fly, I think it is safe to say that I will never pilot an aircraft. I am forever relegated to passenger status. However, one of the earliest computer games I ever played... Flying the Friendly Skies

I'm not a big fan of the major airlines. In fact I have written several entries that demonstrated poor customer service by United and American. However, I had a uniquely good experience on United a couple days ago and wanted to share it with you. I was traveling to Los Angeles with Joel Ownby and Tim Prince, en route to Yanik Silver's Internet Underground conference in Los Angeles. The three of us board the 737... Continue Reading

A VERY long day

Posted on December 7, 2004 12:28 AM

And I thought it was going to be as simple as getting on an airplane... Our flight home was initially scheduled for 6:30 pm, putting us into OKC around 8:30 pm. However, our schedule for the day was clear, so we decided to head to the airport early in hopes of catching an earlier flight on standby. We arrived shortly after 12:15 pm and attempted to book on the 1:11 pm flight. It had been... Continue Reading

My private jet

Posted on June 18, 2004 4:33 PM

How cool would it be to have your own private jet? Shoot, I'd settle for having the money to charter my own private jet! It's such a pain dealing with the major airlines. I hate the cramped cabins, the smell, the uncertainty of flight schedules, dealing with their policies, attempting to book a flight. I just hate it all. Ah, but a private charter jet! Check out this beautiful Cessna... There are those who say... Continue Reading

Are You Green, Yellow or Red?

Posted on September 9, 2003 10:26 AM

Holy Moses. If this isn't BIG BROTHER attempting to claw away at your privacy with his big hands, I don't know what is. This from the Washington Post. Fliers to Be Rated for Risk Level New System Will Scrutinize Each Passenger, Assign Color Code In the most aggressive -- and, some say, invasive -- step yet to protect air travelers, the federal government and the airlines will phase in a computer system next year to...
