Allow me to introduce you to my nephew, Jordan Benker. I know him as Jordy, and he is a very talented young musician. Why am I writing about Jordan today? Obviously, I care about him and I want to see him succeed. But I've got another angle. This past week I observed something very interesting happening with Jordan while following his Facebook posts. There was a discussion saying that his name trended worldwide on Twitter... Continue Reading

"When you are through changing, you are through." - Bruce Barton Change is inevitable. Apart from death and taxes, change is the only thing in this life that we can count on. This past year has found me in the midst of much change. After a number of years as an author, speaker and entrepreneur, I have spent the last year quietly reassessing my life. Taking some time away from work, I've been tending to... Continue Reading

It's been almost THREE years since iFart stunk up the iTunes Appstore. On December 12, 2008, iFart exploded on the scene and the world has not been the same. I was perhaps the first app creator to go public with statistics related to sales and rank shortly after the app came out. iFart has now become a part of pop culture and iPhone history, even worthy of it's own Wikipedia page. Celebrities such as Helena... Continue Reading

How is it possible to be in one place and everywhere at the same time? For us mere mortals, it's not. However, with social media all of us are more connected than ever before. I frequently get questions from people wanting to know how they can connect with me. I thought it would be useful for me to provide a list of where you can find me. By now I'm sure you have heard about Google's new social network, Google Plus (or G+ for short).
Google Plus is currently the fastest growing social network with over 25 million members in the first month.
I've been using it for several weeks now and believe that it could be a very important tool for businesses who want to
reach their audiences. Continue Reading

Well, it can happen when Google realizes that your posts and pages are STALE... Continue Reading

Over the past few weeks I've been sharing information about how people are creating and selling websites for a tidy profit. In fact, some people are doing nothing BUT flipping websites! Now you know I am a big fan of creating content sites and growing them over the long haul. It's a great way to build a portfolio and generate AdSense revenue. However, even I have found the website flipping business quite lucrative. So much... Continue Reading

Facebook can be very frustrating. Early on, I accepted every friend request that came my way. I was being social, right? Shortly after hitting my 5000 friend limit, my account was suspended. After creating a bit of a hullaballoo (don't get to use that word very often), my account was re-activated. Then came pages. Now I had a place to send people who wanted to follow me. The numbers quickly grew. But my Facebook stream... Continue Reading

While I have been doing business online since 1995, I entered the Internet marketing arena in 2005. When I began selling an ebook detailing my strategies for making money with websites using Google AdSense, I found myself at the forefront of the marketplace. In the years that followed, I was sucked into a swirling vortex of product launches, live events and teleseminars. I met many other Internet marketers and developed relationships with some. Over the... Continue Reading

Apple's Game Center continues to gain traction with iPhone and iPod Touch users. After all, what better way to kill time waiting for the bus or at the airport than with an endless supply of video games at your fingertips? However, only a handful of the 200-plus games in the Game Center have true multiplayer functionality. That is rapidly changing thought, partly with the help of one of InfoMedia Inc's sister companies, Digital Future. Continue Reading

In order to be successful online, you have to put yourself out there. Running a business online is a very public endeavor, and it differs from running businesses in the past in that you can't just hide behind your storefront or LLC. These days, people want to know exactly who they're dealing with, and social media marketing works best when there is a face and a name. So you steel yourself and start making your... Email lists are arguably an online marketer's best friend. They provide direct lines of communication to people who have already given you a vote of confidence, either by opting in to receive your updates, purchasing a product from you, or both. So how do you get a great email list if you are just starting out? And if you have been in the online business for awhile, how do you build yours and grow it... Continue Reading
