Apple's Game Center continues to gain traction with iPhone and iPod Touch users. After all, what better way to kill time waiting for the bus or at the airport than with an endless supply of video games at your fingertips? However, only a handful of the 200-plus games in the Game Center have true multiplayer functionality. That is rapidly changing thought, partly with the help of one of InfoMedia Inc's sister companies, Digital Future. Continue Reading

(Written by guest contributor Joel Ownby) Accepting payment online for your products and services sounds like a pretty simple endeavor, and at a low level it is. Understanding what is happening behind the scenes is an entirely different proposition. Last year my company released a revolutionary new platform for the iPhone. It was called GameDock, and it was the world's first multiplayer gaming platform for the iPhone and iPod Touch. While OpenFeint and Plus+ were creating leaderboards and achievement functionality, we had done what no other developer had done... created a matching system that would allow you to add friends and invite them to play our games in real time from anywhere in the... Yesterday, I introduced you to Help a Reporter, a site/newsletter that offers a wealth of opportunities to find publicity.
HARO has well over 100,000 subscribers watching for opportunities to get interviewed. That means while the opportunities are ripe, there is a lot of competition to get noticed.
Today's site is far less popular, but still offers quality leads for experts wanting recognition. Continue Reading

(Written by guest contributor Tim Golen) Twitter grows more popular each and every day and more and more users are discovering it and putting it to use. Since the beginning, Twitter has struggled to meet this demand and it has been a big challenge for them to not only meet the current demand that their users have, but also to provide additional value to those users. One of the reasons that I have been reluctant... Continue Reading

Who doesn't dream of the extraordinary feeling of taking to the air like a bird? While that sensation can only be simulated in this life, we are fortunate to live in a time where air travel is commonplace. But even though people CAN fly, I think it is safe to say that I will never pilot an aircraft. I am forever relegated to passenger status. However, one of the earliest computer games I ever played... YouTube has come up with a way to link between videos.
Using their annotations feature, viewers can click a certain spot on a video and be taken to another video.

(Written by guest contributor Tim Golen) Confession: I'm a lazy person. I have to continuously work on making myself active and staying productive. I've gotten quite good at that over the years, but there are still areas that I recognize that I need to improve on. One of those areas is the passing on of my knowledge to help others. My boss Joel Comm has been able to master this. He sells books full of... Continue Reading

If I had a nickel for every person that wanted to build their own website, well, I'd have a LOT of nickels! The problem is that most people get stuck at the "building a website" part. They pay massive fees to have custom sites created. The spend a lot of money on incredibly complicated software. And they end up more frustrated than ever. That's why I have been hard at work on a solution that... Continue Reading

As a blogger, I frequently share my opinion on a number of topics. That sometimes includes current events or newsworthy items. However, I never put myself forth as a journalist. While I prefer to have my facts straight, I must confess that I don't always get it right. But I believe those who report news have a much bigger obligation to accurately report stories. Don't you agree? I can't tell you how many times I... Continue Reading
