Are you aware there are more than 5.3 Billion smartphones and tablet devices being utilized worldwide? It's true. And many of the users are downloading new apps weekly, even.... DAILY. Why? Because it's fun for them, and so they'll be able to access "extra value" from their favorite companies, gurus and small businesses locally and abroad. In fact, this mass interest has begun a brand new "gold rush" for creating Mobile Apps. I should know... Continue Reading

In preparation for writing this article I thought I would look for a great quote about learning from your mistakes. When Google launched Wave back in 2009, it was met with a mixture of head-scratching and hand-raising. Because it was invitation-only, there was huge demand from people who wanted to try it out. (Invitations were even said to have sold on eBay for $70 each). But people -- both those who had tried it out and those who wanted to -- wondered what it was for. Continue Reading

(Written by guest contributor Sarah Beek) Chances are, you do the same few things on the Internet each day. You probably check your email account(s), update your various social media sites, and catch up on your favorite news sites and blogs. Lifestreaming services or social media aggregators are designed to be one-stop shops for these activities. And then can in fact make your online life much easier. (They can be life-savers if you haven't been... Continue Reading

The Internet playing field is up for grabs with a few key players vying for positioning. Bing is gunning for Google. Twitter is gunning for Facebook. And Google is gunning for... well, everyone. Google has attempted to gain market share in the social media space in the past. Orkut never caught on in the United States, though I hear it does well in some countries. And Google Wave is interesting, but not easily accessible for... Continue Reading

I do not use my Gmail.com account for business. It is my personal account that I use to correspond with friends, family and close business associates. But I DO use the account and have a number of messages that I have saved for one reason or another. Around 2 pm MDT I went to check my Gmail account and was SHOCKED to see that my inbox was EMPTY! I thought, "surely this must be a... Continue Reading

If you've got nothing nice to say, say nothing.
It's a great rule to follow when you're offline. Online though, saying nothing just isn't an option.
As an online publisher, you have to publish. You have to keep a steady stream of new content appearing on your website so that your users will keep coming back, your ads will keep appearing... and your money will keep rolling in

I did it. I bit the bullet and picked up an iPhone. I've been a faithful Treo 650 user for two years, but the buzz regarding Apple's new device won me over. So I ponied up $599 + shipping and tax to get one of these puppies in my hands, though I was unsure of what I would find once I actually got to try it out for myself. I may now render the verdict... Andy Warhol once said that every person gets their fifteen minutes of fame.
I don't know if that is true, but I do know that every person has a story to tell.
I am in the process of writing a new book centered around Internet marketing and individual success stories...
... and I am looking for real life stories to include in the book!
So what's your story? Continue Reading

You never know which blog entries are going to stir the most controversy or interest. Here are a few posts in which the conversation seems to keep going and going and going... To Arbonne or Not to Arbonne - My simple evaluation of the way the company conducts business online has turned into an all out battle of the Arbonners vs. Anti-Arbonners.
