The Law of Attraction is Nonsense

Posted on October 7, 2010 3:27 AM

A few years ago I heard people in the Internet marketing circles talking about "The Secret." I was told it was an amazing film featuring successful people demonstrating a "law of the universe" that had been hidden from the majority of mere mortals. Starring in this film based on a book by Rhonda Byrne were such people as Joe Vitale, James Arthur Ray, Michael Beckwith, David Schirmer and Bill Harris, among otthers. I decided to... Posted on March 13, 2010 3:47 PM

Many people discover me for the first time through any number of products or services. For some it is my iPhone applications. For others it is my book on making money with Google, The AdSense Code. Then there are those who know me from my sites that focus on affiliate marketing. Still others first found me through my social media presence or books (eg: Twitter Power). Whenever I speak from the stage, people are always... Continue Reading

Twitter is Life!

Posted on June 17, 2009 8:00 AM

I love it when academics launch studies of the entrepreneurial world. Sometimes, they come up with truly valuable and fascinating information. I can't think of any off-hand, but I'm sure they must do sometimes. More usually though, the buffoons claim that their observations have discovered something truly amazing and revolutionary... something that those of us who were actually doing it knew all along. While the prof. is getting another publication and a nomination for a... Continue Reading

Facebook Booted Me for Having 5000 Friends!

Posted on January 23, 2009 10:36 AM

I've been a fan of Facebook for a couple years. I think it's a great way to network with others and build your business. I've used the site create my own groups, build a fan page, post videos, interact with family, friends and fans, and basically enjoyed its functionality. I've always abided by their terms of service, even though thousands of people break the rules every day. I'm a credible marketer with a 15-year history... Continue Reading

We Will, We Will Rock You

Posted on December 12, 2008 11:29 PM

I spoke at Harv Eker's Never Work Again seminar in Rancho Mirage, California today. We had a great time. His attendees are always so engaged and eager to learn. At one point I burst out into a spontaneous stomp-stomp-clap, which led to a chorus of Queen's "We Will Rock You." Don't believe me? See for yourself! Continue Reading

2007 - The Year in Review

Posted on December 29, 2007 7:05 AM

I'm at Will Rogers airport in Oklahoma City, getting ready to make the trek home to Colorado after a week of visiting with family and friends. I've had some time to reflect on the year and would like to take a stroll down memory lane. The year started with a crazy idea. I knew that others had dabbled with the idea of doing an Internet reality show, but no one had really taken the concept... Continue Reading

Democrat Snake Oil, Anyone?

Posted on October 15, 2004 6:08 PM

Charles Krauthammer, writing for the Jewish World Review, has come out with an article that precisely nails down the problem with John Kerry and John Edwards. Highlights from Krauthammer's article... This is John Edwards on Monday at a rally in Newton, Iowa: "If we do the work that we can do in this country, the work that we will do when John Kerry is president, people like Christopher Reeve are going to walk, get up... Day 23: Chocolate Heaven

Posted on October 27, 2003 6:06 PM

We left Philadelphia early this morning and jumped on the highway towards Hershey, Pennsylvania. The kids have been looking forward to our visit to Chocolate World for the whole trip, so the anticipation had been building. Hershey's Chocolate World was just plain fun. Pulling into the parking lot gives you the feeling of, "Uh oh, there goes the diet!" The first thing we did was check out the free Chocolate Tour Ride, a Disney-style track... Continue Reading

Day 13: Boston, the continuing story

Posted on October 17, 2003 9:12 PM

We got to sleep in a bit this morning. After the kids did their schoolwork and I did some work, we went to lunch. Next stop was the John Fitzgerald Kennedy Museum and Library, south of the city. It is a beautiful building designed by I.M Pei. I was only two years old when President Kennedy was assasinated, so this was a great opportunity to learn more about this man that was much loved and... Continue Reading
