No firm has done more to enable the monetization of the Internet than Google. Its AdSense system has gone through a lot of changes since it launched in 2003, but it's still the backbone of my online business, the channel around which much of my content is built. Continue Reading

(Written by guest contributor Joel Ownby) Advertisers and business owners are starting to understand the value in direct response mobile marketing because the response rates are too high to ignore. TextCastLive is a new service that has taken the rules taught to us by direct marketing mediums like e-mail autoresponder systems and direct mail and applied them to SMS text message marketing to provide a robust, platform-independent, scalable, enterprise-class mobile marketing solution. At the highest... Continue Reading

(Written by guest contributor Mark Widawer) With so many people getting into online marketing as a way to avoid having a J-O-B, they're wondering exactly what kind of online career they should get into. When they start thinking about ebooks, they often think that maybe it's too late to get into ebook marketing, or that there aren't any good topics left to write about, or that they're not smart enough or expert enough to write... (Written by guest contributor Andrew Krzysiak) If you're like me and the vast majority of users, you have established your web presence through a combination of sites like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Coroflot. I love these sites because they allow me to interact with my family, friends, coworkers, and other professionals in a way that simply isn't possible on my own website. This realization leaves me wondering, "Why do I need a personal website, and... Continue Reading

Since coming on board as President of InfoMedia, Inc. a few months ago, one of the first things I did was to create some work files for the various projects that began crossing my desk immediately. They were files with titles like, Staff Matters, Financial Matters, Legal Matters, etc. As I began to get to know the company more thoroughly, I realized how much organization matters. Everyone who has ever worked from home knows that sometimes, it isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Sure at first it can be liberating and novel to "go to work" unshowered and in your pajamas, but eventually many people realize that they get more done when there is more of a demarcation between work and home. Home offices with doors might work, but a lot of people end up looking for someplace... Continue Reading

Tragedies have a way of helping us forget our differences and of reminding us how vulnerable we all are. The massive earthquake in Haiti has claimed tens of thousands of lives and devastated the very small country. Thankfully, support and aid is pouring in from all over the world. With so much need, it's hard to believe that every little bit makes a difference. But it does. Thanks to the leadership of Justin Williams at... Continue Reading

Does American Airlines have good customer service? Once again, I find myself on the "I can't believe this is happening" end of a telephone conversation with a customer service rep. Here's the story. I had booked a flight using reward miles to fly someone from Dallas to Denver in a couple weeks. As it turns out, he is going to drive here a few days early and won't require the initial leg of the flight... Continue Reading

I love to write my own newsletter. It gives me an opportunity to share my thoughts and feelings with you in a very personal way. However, my friend Eric Holmlund has written such a brilliant piece that I have asked him if I can reproduce it in its entirity. Being a great guy, Eric said no problem. With no further ado, here is Eric's post... ---------------------- I want to tell you about a young woman... Continue Reading

I love this time of year. It remind me just how fortunate I am. While many people across the country will be looking forward to spending some extra time with their families over Christmas, I get to spend as much time with my family as I want every day of the year. That was always one of the big motivations for me as an online publisher: I wanted to be free to decide when to... Continue Reading

It's been just over a year since I first discussed my experiences with Arbonne, the multi-level marketing skin-care company. Since that time, over 600 comments have been posted to that single entry! Diehard Arbonne supporters and vehement detractors have enjoyed spirited discussion and debate via my blog. Isn't the Internet great? My take on the company remains the same. They have good product, albeit overpriced... and an unfair Internet marketing model that favors those who... Continue Reading

I've been slaving away attempting to make sense of this thing we call the Internet. In order to put things in proper perspective, I have composed this paper which I hope will prove useful. Continue Reading

It is true. I am an Arbonne consultant. (Actually, that may be past-tense by the time you read this...) For those unfamiliar with Arbonne, they are a fast-growing company focused on health care and skin care products. They claim the products are all natural and most of the people who try them truly love them. The downside is that they are ridiculously expensive. Still, you get what you pay for. For the record, I have... Continue Reading

Let's face it. The Internet has changed our lives. Who can forget the first time you bought or sold something on eBay? And how about the first time you booked a flight online? Now, in the tradition of "firsts", this site offers something that I have seen nowhere else.
Be amazed!
Of course, if that doesn't do it for you there is always this Continue Reading
