Staying current in mobile development can be a daunting task. Fortunately, there is help out there. You may be asking yourself, "What exactly is 'mobile development?'" The answer is simple: mobile development is developing software for mobile platforms. People are so predictable. A new trend surfaces and there are those that immediately begin to capitalize on it. Being on the lookout for "the next big thing" is fine. But what do you do when you discover it? For some people, they engross themselves in the new thing and learn the ins and outs so they can speak from experience. For others, it's all a matter of discovering how they can position themselves as... Continue Reading

The world is changing. But you don't need me to tell you that. The Internet of today is a far cry from the one I launched my first site on fifteen years ago. Technology has made major advances, meeting needs of many, and exposing other needs yet to be met. Just in the past few years, the way we market products and services online has changed. Continue Reading

I'm pleased to announce that our newest iPhone game has just been released to the iTunes appstore. I've been playing the game Connect Four ever since I was a kid. I love the challenge of outwitting my opponent to see who can get four of their colored chips in a row first. I am also a fan of Popcap Games' Bejeweled. I mean, who hasn't spent hours on end swapping gems and getting them to... Continue Reading

As a blogger, I frequently share my opinion on a number of topics. That sometimes includes current events or newsworthy items. However, I never put myself forth as a journalist. While I prefer to have my facts straight, I must confess that I don't always get it right. But I believe those who report news have a much bigger obligation to accurately report stories. Don't you agree? I can't tell you how many times I... Continue Reading

Not to take anything away from formal education, but thanks to the Internet, it is possible to be largely self-taught, especially when it comes to learning the various coding and programming languages. If you have a question about how to do something, chances are there is an online tutorial on the subject. The trick is to find the information you are looking for on Google without wasting too much time going down dead-ends. Here... Continue Reading

In the age of broadband Internet speeds, it is often easy to let optimization get shoved to the back burner. But the fact is that a large portion of people surfing the Internet are still using dial-up. More and more people are also browsing the Web on mobile networks, which should be taken into account. If you can speed up the load times of your website, you'll have much happier guests, and they will be... Continue Reading

It's been a long time since I optimized my first AdSense ad. Many things have changed since then. Some things have stayed the same. The principles of AdSense optimization have stayed the same. You still have to blend your ads into your site. You still have to produce good quality content. And you still have to bring in traffic to look at that content. The content itself has changed though. Videos are now an important... Continue Reading

Earlier this year I had the privilege of welcoming Dave Woodward to Colorado for an interview. Dave was filming a series called "Legendary Marketers" and he had asked if I would be a participant. The series would visit successful marketers at their homes (and office in my case) to give the viewers a better sense of who we are and what we do. I was thrilled at this opportunity and am even more pleased with... Continue Reading

Twitter is one of the web's leading innovative sites. People are just discovering new ways to interact with others, build relationships, share ideas AND market themselves and their products/services online. I've put together a 30-page report that will give you an overview of Twitter and how you can use it to help accomplish your goals. Things are changing VERY quickly online, so forgive me if some of the material is dated by next month! What's... Continue Reading

Twitter this. Twitter that. Twitter, twitter, twitter. I must confess. I'm still not sure what the point is of Twitter. Basically, Twitter allows you to tell the world what you are doing at any given moment, embed a clever little widget on your site so they can keep up with you, and you in turn can see what they are doing. I'm not sure I get it. Nevertheless, apparantly millions of people do get it... Continue Reading
