I can't believe I have been doing business online since 1995. It seems like so long ago, and yet just yesterday. The first ten or so years were spent creating content-rich websites for the consumer marketplace. I built and sold several of these sites. It wasn't until 2005 that I entered the Internet marketing arena with my first ebook, "What Google Never Told You About Making Money with AdSense." Over two dozen ebooks, several products... In a recent blog post I had mentioned that I was both selling of some of my biggest internet properties and at the same time looking to acquire more sites. This led to a conversation with my VP of Ideas Dan Nickerson about all our mutual internet properties and the need to create a "simple" marketplace to introduce domain sellers and buyers. Sure there are a number of domain marketplaces online, but they can be... Continue Reading

As you know, I've been building websites since 1995. I've always been a big fan of creating content-rich sites that bring value to others. That's why I have always spoken against creating spammy sites designed to game the search engines. It's not a good model for building a long-term business. I've sold a number of my sites over the years. In 1998, Yahoo! purchased my multiplayer game site, ClassicGames.com. Today you know it as Yahoo... Continue Reading

If you've read KaChing or my other materials, you would know that I am a fan of making money SOPS.
SOPS?
That's an acronym for:
Selling
Other
People's
Stuff
Affiliate programs have been around for fifteen years now, and I've been participating in them ever since Amazon launched their program many years ago. Continue Reading

I recently wrote a few articles that created quite a bit of response from my readers. Where is the Integrity in Internet Marketing? challenged many of the all-too-common tactics used by unscrupulous marketers. I invited my readers to share their thoughts and experiences related to these issues, and the comments that followed were both insightful and instructional. Let's face it. When it comes to selling a product or service, marketing approaches are all over the... Continue Reading

In the last year my company has had a lot of success with Clickbank, the world's most trusted digital marketplace. We currently have a half dozen products in the Clickbank marketplace and they generate a steady income for my company. One thing all those products have in common is that they were all setup, launched and managed by my VP of Ideas, Dan Nickerson. Dan has become an expert at the rapid development and launch... It's been almost THREE YEARS since I came out with the last edition of AdSense Secrets. V4.0 was released in April of 2008. Since the material in this book has become very dated, I have been giving it away for free for a time. Much has changed with the Google AdSense program, and much has changed in the online world. So I've been hard at work at a completely revised, updated and expanded 2011 edition... Continue Reading

While I have been doing business online since 1995, I entered the Internet marketing arena in 2005. When I began selling an ebook detailing my strategies for making money with websites using Google AdSense, I found myself at the forefront of the marketplace. In the years that followed, I was sucked into a swirling vortex of product launches, live events and teleseminars. I met many other Internet marketers and developed relationships with some. Over the... Continue Reading

Recently I was sent a link promoting a new Wordpress theme designed just for affiliate marketers and people wanting to build niche sites. Being the creator of the Socrates Theme, I had to take a look. Sure enough. Here come the copycats. I continue to be amazed at the utter lack of creativity in people who pass themselves off as "experts." Not only is the headline and a bunch of the copy on this new... Continue Reading

(Written by guest contributor Tim Golen) There is a new trend in the smart phone market share. Sitting at the top of the market is still Nokia. Tied for second place are Apple, Google, and RIM (Blackberry devices). Right now Google enjoys a 14.9% market share but in the next several years, according to Piper Jaffray, Google is poised to capture at least 50% of the smart phone market share. This would cement their dominance... Continue Reading

In my line of work, I get asked a lot about what the difference is between mobile application development and mobile web development. Instead of just responding to a bunch of emails, I thought it best to write an article about it. Continue Reading

As toddlers, the first word from our mouths is typically not the word our parents hope to hear. In place of the much anticipated "mama" or "dada" often comes the word "no." Why is that? Probably because as parents we spend so much time instructing our little ones in what not to do! So why are we surprised when they regale us with a negative statement when they decide to begin using the English language? Continue Reading

(Written by guest contributor Mark Widawer) With so many people getting into online marketing as a way to avoid having a J-O-B, they're wondering exactly what kind of online career they should get into. When they start thinking about ebooks, they often think that maybe it's too late to get into ebook marketing, or that there aren't any good topics left to write about, or that they're not smart enough or expert enough to write... As December was coming to a close, I began to think of how I might help inspire you in the new year. I knew I would write something and post it on January 1st. But it didn't happen. In fact, January first found me uninspired. I was enjoying hanging out at home with my family and doing absolutely nothing. I thought to myself, I'll just write something on the second instead. Guess what? It didn't... Continue Reading
