I receive a lot of feedback from people who have read my books and used my information products. Much of that feedback is positive. There's nothing better than reading an email from someone who's doubled their AdSense income after reading my book or picked up more clients after using Twitter. It lets me feel like I'm really making a difference. Continue Reading

Still sitting on an idea for a blog without having done anything about it yet? It's probably time to get rolling. Get some hosting, buy the domain, and find a theme you like (we're partial to Socrates), and you're ready to start in on the content. But before you jump in, here are a few things you should be ready for before going live with your new website: Continue Reading

In a previous article, I explored the ideas behind teaser videos. This time I want to look at the next step - pre-launch videos. Continue Reading

I probably don't need to tell you how important it can be to have a successful product launch. The launch of a new product can set the tone for how that product will be received down the road. It is important to hit the ground running on product launch day so that you can capitalize on that momentum and keep it going. In this article, I will be looking at a product launch from... At this point, you've done your research, created a compelling and competitive offer, and started outreaching to affiliates. So, now that your program is gaining traction and you have some affiliates on board, what's next? Continue Reading

In Twitter Power, I described blogs as one aspect of the social media revolution. I think that might have surprised some people. Blogs, after all, pre-date the kind of interaction that we can see on Facebook and LinkedIn. They're more like old-fashioned publishing, in which information comes down from a publisher instead of being created and shared by contributors. But there is one aspect of blogging that's often forgotten by Internet publishers, and it's incredibly... Continue Reading

I wish I hadn't done it. And I wish I could tell you all the things that I wish I hadn't done but there are too many incidents to remember them all. I probably smack my forehead about a dozen times a day and wonder what I've let myself in for. I know lots of people say that they have no regrets. They might even be telling the truth. But that doesn't mean that they've... Continue Reading

I love meeting people who are just starting out as Internet entrepreneurs. I love their enthusiasm, I get a thrill out of hearing their plans for the future, and I pick up a buzz from their energy. They've got J-O-Bs that they often H-A-T-E. They've got every motivation they need to swap their spare time for marketing time, and they absolutely believe that it's only a matter of hard work and patience before they'll be... Continue Reading

I'm going to tell you a secret.
It's the secret of continued success that every successful publisher knows and benefits from them.
Here it is...
The secret of continued success is.. to be successful.
I know, it doesn't sound very helpful, does it? Continue Reading

I'm always going on about the importance of networking at conferences. That's because I don't know of any strategy that can improve an online publishing business's success rate faster. Networking puts you in touch with opportunities that you can't find any other way. It builds the sort of business relationships that can last for many profitable years. It really does make running a business fun. And there's just no better place to do it than... Continue Reading

Saturday morning ramblings.
I know, it might be Saturday afternoon or Sunday... or even Monday, when you receive this. Nevertheless, it's Saturday morning as a write.
So there. :-P
Here come the ramblings, kind of a stew from me to you :-)

Momentum.
From Dictionary.com...
"A force or speed of movement; impetus, as of a physical object or course of events: The car gained momentum going downhill. Her career lost momentum after two unsuccessful films."
Let me throw in one more example...

Are you overwhelmed? I don't know about you, but I can get involved in so many projects that I occasionally feel like my brain is going to explode. Someone get the duct tape! The reality of the situation is that there is more opportunity on the web than anyone can possibly grasp. You may already be succeeding online... ... or you may be struggling. I've been both places at various times in my life and... Continue Reading

One of the most important things you can do to get traffic to your AdSense sites is to incorporate the use of a mailing list. With a list, you can mail your members and invite them back to your site again and again. With a list, you can profit by sending offers that your members would find interesting and useful. With a list, you have both momentum and leverage, two of the greatest keys for... Continue Reading
