The News is Bad

Posted on October 27, 2010 3:25 AM

The year is 2010. More and more people are getting their news from the Internet. And many traditional media sources are greatly suffering as a result. It's no wonder. Fresh information is constantly at our fingertips. I am puzzled why anyone would watch television news or read newspapers any more. I NEVER watch television news. I NEVER buy a newspaper. But I happened to be in front of a television the other day while waiting... Continue Reading

The Law of Attraction is Nonsense

Posted on October 7, 2010 3:27 AM

A few years ago I heard people in the Internet marketing circles talking about "The Secret." I was told it was an amazing film featuring successful people demonstrating a "law of the universe" that had been hidden from the majority of mere mortals. Starring in this film based on a book by Rhonda Byrne were such people as Joe Vitale, James Arthur Ray, Michael Beckwith, David Schirmer and Bill Harris, among otthers. I decided to... Posted on August 21, 2010 2:39 PM

I get to meet a number of interesting people in my travels. A couple years ago I met one of the stars of Oprah's reality show, The Big Give. His name is Cameron Johnson and he is a serial entrepreneur. Cameron started his first business when he was NINE years old! Listen in to this broadcast of The Joel Comm Show and find out what Cameron did to get Donald Trump's attention. We discussed a... Continue Reading

Ebooks De-Mythed

Posted on March 17, 2010 3:28 PM

(Written by guest contributor Mark Widawer) With so many people getting into online marketing as a way to avoid having a J-O-B, they're wondering exactly what kind of online career they should get into. When they start thinking about ebooks, they often think that maybe it's too late to get into ebook marketing, or that there aren't any good topics left to write about, or that they're not smart enough or expert enough to write... How To Be A Star

Posted on May 17, 2009 8:00 AM

I'm not much of a celebrity-watcher. I don't read tabloids and I couldn't care less who's dating whom in Hollywoodland. But I'm still pleased to see that so many celebrities have chosen to use Twitter. I'm pleased because those celebrities are bringing lots of regular folk like you and me with them. Those people might have come to chat with Oprah or Ashton Kutcher but they'll hang around and talk with the rest of us... Continue Reading

How Video Can Make Your Life Easier -- And Wealthier

Posted on January 11, 2009 8:00 AM

You've probably noticed that I'm a big fan of video content. I don't think text is going to disappear from the Web completely but I do think we're going to see more and more video content appearing on the Internet. I also think that users now expect to find clips on the sites they visit. I'm not the only one who thinks that way. Google obviously thinks so too, which was why it bought YouTube... Something is Very Wrong

Posted on April 13, 2005 12:59 AM

I am sick to my stomach after reading this story about some High School punks sexually abusing a 16-year old disabled girl while other students stood by and watched. Rather than rehash the incredibly disgusting story (and the castrated administrators and teachers who have NO business being in the educational system), I want to address the real problem. Our society has not only become to permissive, but corporations and many leaders are now endorsing immoral... Continue Reading

Oprah hands over the keys

Posted on September 13, 2004 12:28 PM

I've never been a huge Oprah Winfrey fan. I've probably watched three entire shows my whole life. But I do appreciate the positive spin she has taken her show these past years. Instead of doing the Jerry Springer "dregs of society" type shows, she has sought to elevate her show by featuring encouraging and inspiring stories. From time to time, she has been known to provide her entire audience with a year's supply of dogfood... Continue Reading

The Truth about Radical Democrats

Posted on January 4, 2004 7:57 PM

It is my belief that the large majority of voting democrats have little to no idea what the radical wing of the party really stands for. The party that for so many years has rallied their voters based on fear and lies continues to do so while the masses sleep. MoveOn.org, an organization that is unable to live up to its own name as they are still living in the crushing Presidential election of 2000... Continue Reading
