Time for a Change

Posted on February 3, 2011 3:04 AM

"To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven." - Ecclesiastes 3:1 Nothing lasts forever. Change is inevitable. Over the past fifteen or so years I have created dozens of websites, products, services and applications that run the gamut of new media. Content sites, information products, member sites, web-based software, iPhone applications, mobile marketing platforms, entertainment sites and more. During that time I have had some tremendous successes and some... Continue Reading

It's Not About Me

Posted on October 13, 2010 2:34 PM

Death. Now there's a way to start a blog entry! It's been said by Steven Covey that we should "begin with the end in mind." Well, it doesn't get any more "end" than death, does it? At least as far as our lives on earth are concerned. We live in a culture that is death-averse. We are fascinated with concepts of the afterlife, but death itself is a horrible thing that we'd rather not look... Continue Reading

What This Blog is About

Posted on October 12, 2010 10:00 AM

If you have been following this blog for any time, you probably know that it is not like other blogs. I don't have a template or formula for this blog. It is mine and I use it however I want. When I started blogging in 2003, my first entries were about my dog, my family and my travels. I blogged about my political views, current events and films I had recently seen. Then it happened... The Law of Attraction is Nonsense

Posted on October 7, 2010 3:27 AM

A few years ago I heard people in the Internet marketing circles talking about "The Secret." I was told it was an amazing film featuring successful people demonstrating a "law of the universe" that had been hidden from the majority of mere mortals. Starring in this film based on a book by Rhonda Byrne were such people as Joe Vitale, James Arthur Ray, Michael Beckwith, David Schirmer and Bill Harris, among otthers. I decided to... Helping the Homeless

Posted on October 2, 2010 4:36 AM

As I travel around our country, I can not help but notice the epidemic of homelessness. There are so many people on the streets of our cities. How many more are there that we DON'T see? We've all encountered homeless people in our cities or towns. My heart goes out to those who don't have a safe place to rest their heads. It's even more heartbreaking when those people are children. I recently had the... Continue Reading

How do you feel about celebrities? Are you in awe when you meet someone that is well-known? Do you get nervous when speaking with them? Do you attribute value to people based on their status? How do you treat those that appear to have achieved the level of status, wealth, fame or power that you may aspire to? Continue Reading

Live From AffCon 2010

Posted on July 26, 2010 2:31 PM

I had the privilege of delivering the keynote speech at AffCon2010 in Denver this year. The show was visited by hundreds of merchants and affiliates, so there was plenty of great networking to be had. The WebMasterRadio.fm crew was there, so I have took the opportunity to do my radio show live from the tradeshow floor. Speaking with attendees alongside Dan Nickerson, the show was quite fun to do. To listen to a replay of... Continue Reading

Posted on April 9, 2010 9:45 AM

I had the privilege of welcoming "The Queen of Facebook", Mari Smith, to my offices. She was in town to speak at the Northern Colorado Social Media Social, so we had an opportunity of spending the afternoon together before the event. Mari and I both purchased the newly-released iPad from Apple. We decided to do a live broadcast from my studio. In case you missed it, the replay is below. Not only did we discuss... Inspiration Takes a Vacation

Posted on January 4, 2010 11:13 AM

As December was coming to a close, I began to think of how I might help inspire you in the new year. I knew I would write something and post it on January 1st. But it didn't happen. In fact, January first found me uninspired. I was enjoying hanging out at home with my family and doing absolutely nothing. I thought to myself, I'll just write something on the second instead. Guess what? It didn't... Continue Reading

Top Ten Christmas Favorites

Posted on December 25, 2009 12:39 AM

Christmas. Seems like we measure a good part of our year by the celebration of Christ's birth. I know. For many people Christmas is very much a secular holiday. A time for family and friends. A time for decorating and hanging pretty lights. A time for the wonder of Santa Claus and flying reindeer. And a time for gift-giving. And regardless of whether or not Target has the cajones to allow the nice Salvation Army... Continue Reading

Foreign Translations of My Books

Posted on December 24, 2009 3:58 PM

I've had the privilege of authoring three books which have done quite well in the marketplace. The first one, The AdSense Code, came out in 2006 and went on to hit the New York Times Best Seller list for two months in a row. The book still sells quite well as an introduction to making money with Google AdSense. The updated second edition is due out in early 2010. Click Here to Order was released... Continue Reading
