How to Decide What to Write About

Posted on November 1, 2010 3:15 AM

I'm trying to blog regularly for a number of reasons. First, it keeps me sharp. Blogging on a regular basis makes me think about things that are important to me. Second, it allows me to share with others. Whether or not you agree with what I say, think, feel or believe, my articles are an extension of my self. Third, it keeps my blog healthy with the search engines. Google and the other engines like... Continue Reading

The Secret Of Social Media Success

Posted on March 19, 2010 3:44 PM

If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me to explain the secret of success, I'd be able to tell them, "It's easy. Just demand a dollar every time someone asks you the secret of success." Continue Reading

Woo Your List with Lifecycle Marketing

Posted on January 12, 2010 10:12 AM

Sometimes email and direct marketing tactics can be somewhat akin to hitting your customer or prospect over the head with a hammer. Think of how you feel when you open your Inbox to find a slew of unwanted emails from companies that want your business: you probably feel slammed, bombarded, blasted, and yes, hammered. But though at times you are totally inundated and overwhelmed by all of these different communications and offers, there are... Continue Reading

How Many Social Media Experts Does it Take to Change a Lightbulb?

Posted on October 9, 2009 10:19 AM

Everyone and their grandmother is calling themselves a Social Media EXPERT these days. I'm not sure what the term really means any more. While I still use the term from time to time (even on this blog for SEO purposes), I fancy myself more of a Social Media EVANGELIST. I'm out there beating the drum to get businesses to use social media as part of their marketing mix. Continue Reading

Posted on November 23, 2007 12:10 AM

It was only a matter of time. Google is coming out with their own phone. But Amazon has beat the Big "G" to the punch with their own electronic device. It's called Amazon Kindle, and it appears to be a contender for the coolest device of the 2007 holiday shopping season. Imagine being able to access thousands of books wirelessly and read them on a crystal clear display anywhere you go. Continue Reading

Home Design Software Reviews

Posted on January 10, 2005 9:49 PM

We are in the process of designing a new home which we intend to build this year. A few years ago, we bought two acres of land in our city. We have been holding on to it and think the time is ripe to place a home on the property. My father is an architect, so he is drawing the plans. Thanks Dad! But I thought it would be a fun thing to play with... Continue Reading

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow

Posted on October 3, 2004 10:18 PM

Mary and I had the opportunity to enjoy a "date night" on Friday. First we enjoyed a nice dinner at Johnny Carinos Italian restaurant. Next we went to the mall and pigged out on ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery (superior to Marble Slab in case you are wondering). Finally, it was on the cinema to take in a showing of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. I received a great deal of chastisement... Continue Reading

The Passion of the Christ - My Review

Posted on March 1, 2004 3:18 PM

I saw The Passion of the Christ last night. I have to agree with something Glenn Beck said after viewing the film. It's unreviewable. Yet, there is so much to say. I hope you will endure my babbling to find something worthwhile in the words to come. By now, you have heard about this movie. I have been writing about it for nearly 9 months now as the opening day has drawn closer. One entry... Continue Reading

The Democratic Presidential hopefuls

Posted on January 22, 2004 12:29 AM

The Democratic Party is in sad, sad shape. They have moved way to the left and are completely out of touch with mainstream America. However, with the exception of the liberal wackos who actually believe in the socialist mumbo-jumbo, the vast majority of Democrats really don't know the people they are voting for. They are content to believe the lies spoon-fed by the liberal media. While George W. Bush is not all I hoped he... Continue Reading
