I recently enjoyed a meal with my daughter at Hu Hot Mongolian Grill in Fort Collins. It's our favorite place to enjoy build-your-own stir fry. Very tasty. As we were leaving the table, I heard my name called out. "Joel"... I turned around to a gentlemen looking at me. I didn't recognize him so I am scanning the recesses of my brain very rapidly to try to recall where I know him from. As it... Continue Reading

The following email was sent to me by one of the creators of The Internet Marketing World Cup. I told them I would consider updating my previous blog entry based on what he shared with me. After further consideration, I thought I would just let IMWC's point-of-view speak for itself. With that said, here is the entire email sent to me. It is thoughtful and I admire the IMWC team for proactively contacting me and... Continue Reading

Internet marketing isn't about technology. It's never been about technology. The computers and the Internet, the multimedia uploads, webinars and ebooks are all just a means to an end. They're tools for transferring information from one place to another.
The revolution that has allowed us to build online businesses, even from our living rooms, garages and bedrooms, isn't a technological revolution. We've just enjoyed the benefits of those changes.
It's a community revolution.

Whenever I sit down to write a book or prepare a talk, I always have one goal in mind.
I want to make it easier for other people to achieve success.
That's easier... not easy.
I know my limitations. And I know Internet marketing.
And I know that there's no such thing as a successful Internet business that was built easily.

With all the speculation that John McCain would select Mitt Romney to be his running mate in the 2008 election, I find it rewarding to see that he has chosen far wiser.
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has been thrust into the limelight as McCain has selected her to be his Vice President should he be elected in November.
I am very pleased with this selection for a number of reasons. Continue Reading

You can have a great idea for a web site. And developing the site can be a very rewarding experience. But without one thing, it doesn't matter how nice your site is... That thing is traffic. Traffic is really the "life blood" of our business. Without traffic you can't make sales, you can't generate affiliate commissions, you can't build a list... (you get the picture). So today I want to focus on traffic, and tell... Continue Reading

I've just spent an incredible three days in Las Vegas at the Affiliate Summit. This gathering of nearly 3000 people was one of the largest concentrations of affiliate marketers in history. While I did enjoy some of the workshops, the greatest benefit was from networking with others in the industry. I finally got to meet famous bloggers such as Amit Mehta, John Chow, Andrew Wee and Zac Johnson, just to name a few. All these... Continue Reading

I love this time of year. It remind me just how fortunate I am. While many people across the country will be looking forward to spending some extra time with their families over Christmas, I get to spend as much time with my family as I want every day of the year. That was always one of the big motivations for me as an online publisher: I wanted to be free to decide when to... Continue Reading

I love helping people make money online. I love teaching them and I love seeing results. It's incredibly rewarding to hear someone tell me that they have increased their income as a result of my ebooks. I set up an audio testimonial line so that people could call in and share their success stories. Here are just a few of the calls I have received... Continue Reading
