Loveland, Colorado Brush Fire

Posted on September 13, 2010 11:28 AM

It's been terribly dry in Northern Colorado. I can't remember the last time we had a substantial rain. Last week, the big news was the fire in Boulder County that claimed over 600 acres of land and at least 92 homes (nine of them belonging to firefighters.) Fortunately, no one was injured. As we were leaving church Sunday morning, it was impossible to miss smoke rising due west of our town, Loveland. It did not... Continue Reading

Fiverr: What Can You Get for Five Dollars?

Posted on May 20, 2010 7:40 AM

Dan Nickerson recently pointed out a very interesting site to me. It's called Fiverr.com. The premise is that everyone can do something that is worth five dollars. And, of course, there are people willing to pay five dollars to have that something done for them. What kind of things can you get done for five dollars? I spent some time on the site and am intrigued... Continue Reading

Innovation is the Catalyst for Success

Posted on January 12, 2010 11:39 PM

I've spent some time in the Internet marketing space for just about five years now. Over that period of time, I've seen dozens of people who call themselves Internet marketers. I've also seen hundreds of products. Software, ebooks, courses, you name it... I've seen it all. Some people in Interent marketing are worth listening to because they are bringing value to the table. They are entrepreneurs with real solutions who are able to sell their... Continue Reading

Hawaii Day 1 - Maui is Burning

Posted on June 28, 2007 10:16 AM

We arrived on Maui on Tuesday afternoon, snagged our rental car and made our way to the hotel. We're staying on the west side of the island in the Ka'anapali area. It's absolutely gorgeous here. From my fifth floor balcony I can see the ocean, the mountains, palm trees, sandy beaches and a beautiful landscape. It's 6 am Hawaii time as I blog this (my body says it is 10 am MST) and I've enjoyed... Continue Reading

I met Scott Hildenbrand in the WorldVillage chat room in 1996... that's an eternity in Internet time. I got to know him and found out that he was a talented young programmer with an affinity for basset hounds. Scott has since done a great deal of work for me and I am proud to have him on my team. He has launched his own site with some very interesting content. Scott discusses a variety of... Continue Reading

How to Fail in Business

Posted on March 26, 2006 1:05 PM

As you may know from my blog, I am currently attending Yanik Silver's Underground Internet Marketing Seminar in Washington, D.C. I'm meeting so many brilliant and fascinating people, and I'm constantly learning more about ways to grow my business, and ultimately help YOU grow your business online! Anyhow, I just got back from lunch at Subway. Subway is NOT my restaurant of choice. I ate there by default. You may like it, but it's blech... Continue Reading

Ruidoso New Mexico

Posted on March 19, 2005 5:01 AM

We have just returned from Spring Break vacation with the kids. It's good to be home! We spent the week in Ruidoso, New Mexico, a quaint village in the southern Rocky Mountains. Near the base of Sierra Blanca (elev 12003), Ruidoso is a blend of old west charm, mountain wilderness and desert atmosphere. Known for being the stomping grounds of Billy the Kid, Ruidoso is also home to the Mescalero Apache Indians (who operate the... Continue Reading
