Wells Fargo Bank Doesn't Want My Business

Posted on July 29, 2010 1:13 PM

Is "change" coming to Wells Fargo Bank? I'm in Henderson, Nevada at Green Valley Ranch preparing to speech at James Malinchak's Millionaire Success Secrets event. The topic for my talk is "How to Get Google to Send You Money", which is about making money with AdSense. As part of my AdSense presentation, I use $50 - $75 in pennies to illustrate how little clicks add up to real money. So every time I visit a... Continue Reading

Twitter Power at the Book Expo America 2010

Posted on May 26, 2010 10:09 PM

I've spent the last few days in Manhattan for the annual Book Expo America (BEA). My publisher, John Wiley & Sons, invited me to do a book signing at their booth today. Twitter Power has become the world's best-selling book on Twitter, even translated into Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Portuguese. I have revised and updated this book, and it is now available in paperback with the title Twitter Power 2.0. Here are some photos of... Continue Reading

The next day, you can receive your approval email from Google, and the same day see your very first AdSense click. The first building blocks of your Internet business can be incredibly fast. But don't let them fool you. Building that business so that it has firm foundations... Continue Reading

Rare collectibles - Myst Puzzle and Extremely Rare Jim Henson Muppet

Posted on November 8, 2009 9:29 PM

I have a confession to make. I am a packrat. It's not like when I die they are going to find stacks of National Geographic magazines in my house, but I do have a tendency to hold on to stuff that I think is cool. My old software collection always blows away people who visit my home. Perhaps I'll make a video of that someday. Continue Reading

How Well Do You Know Your Business?

Posted on October 16, 2008 8:00 AM

Did you ever walk into one of those old mom-and-pop hardware stores, the sort of place where piles of dusty boxes filled with metal things are stacked from floor to ceiling and nothing's got a label on it? You walk up to the counter, explain what you're trying to do and the store owner nods, starts bringing down boxes and in no time at all finds exactly the widget you were looking for. Those people... The Seven Keys of the Top One Percent

Posted on May 20, 2008 1:23 AM

What is it that makes successful people stand out from the crowd? Or perhaps I should ask the question this way... What are the things that successful people DO that everyone else does not do? I believe we are all dealt a hand in life. On very rare occassion that hand is stacked with a full house, but in most cases we're fortunate if we are dealt a pair of twos. And whether or not... I Hate Miami

Posted on July 10, 2007 3:52 PM

I'm not a negative person. Generally, I've got a smile on my face and a bounce in my step. But the moment I got off the plane in Miami for Affiliate Summit, I felt like I needed a shower. No offense intended to any of my subscribers or friends that live at the tip of Florida, but I found it to be just a notch below absolutely miserable. Continue Reading

Gambling with Your Business

Posted on June 11, 2007 5:56 PM

I had the pleasure of enjoying the company of my brother and his family this past weekend. They live in suburban Chicago, so it was a treat for them to come to the mountains and enjoy a little slower pace for a few days. By the way, you'll want to watch for my bro. He is a brilliant CPA with some keen insights into money management. I foresee a website and a book in the... Continue Reading

Nickelmania Strikes Again!

Posted on April 23, 2007 12:00 AM

Nickelmania strikes again! Right, I know. What the heck is Nickel-Mania? It's the brain child of Gary Ambrose. Basically, Gary releases one of his tremendous products and starts the price at a nickel. That's just five cents! And with each person that purchases, the price of the product goes up a little bit at a time. Continue Reading

The Turning Point

Posted on April 4, 2007 12:16 AM

I was on the phone with Armand Morin last night, and I've been thinking about something he said ever since. We talked about the great ebooks that are out there... We talked about some of the cool software tools that are now available... And of course, we talked about AdSense. But here's what he said that stuck with me. Continue Reading

The DaVinci Code

Posted on December 16, 2004 9:07 PM

The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown is absolutely everywhere. It's been on best-seller lists for ages. It's on the front racks at all the bookstores. Many people are buying into this work of fiction as though it were truth. Some in the Christian community are having a good time pointing out that it is indeed nothing more than fiction. The book has spawned a catalogue of additional works discussing the original. And Ron Howard is... Continue Reading

Merry Christmas!

Posted on December 25, 2003 12:00 AM

Christmas. It evokes thoughts of Santa Claus, reindeer, snow, presents, wrapping, shopping, a warm fireplace on a chilly night, children anticipating the big day, and time spent with family and friends. My hope for you is all of the above. But even moreso, my hope for you is that the real meaning of Christmas will land smack dab in the middle of your heart... and never leave. Christmas is Jesus. Christmas is the birth of... Continue Reading
