If I Was God

Posted on November 9, 2010 6:27 AM

What would you do if you were God? We're talking about the Supreme Being; the Almighty; the Alpha and Omega; the Big Cheese; the Head Honcho; the Man in the Sky. You get the picture. Many of us behave as though we are God. We erroneously think the world revolves around us. Trust me, I've been there before. But if you had all of eternity on your hands and were just hanging out by yourself... Continue Reading

Living in the Moment

Posted on October 22, 2010 4:30 AM

Carpe Diem, goes the phrase. Literally translated "Seize the Day" from Latin, I first became familiar with the term from the film Dead Poets Society. While the film had a depressing twist, I am coming to understand more and more the need to take hold of the moments in our lives. It seems like just yesterday that my son was born. I remember changing that first poopie diaper as though the smell still lingers in... Continue Reading

Know When to Say No

Posted on July 17, 2010 10:41 AM

I've seen some people jump on board this, but the past few weeks I've been skeptical that they could really make it work. I've been using the domain BookWiseProfits.com to build my BookWise business.... until today. Continue Reading

Boys Ranch in Oklahoma

Posted on June 14, 2006 8:09 PM

About six years ago, I met a guy named Todd Vinson. Todd is one of the most incredible people I have met in my life because he has dedicated his life to serving others. In particular, he has a heart for helping teenage boys who are displaced or whose families are in crisis by providing a long-term home solution where they will be properly cared for. This happens at Willow Springs Boys Ranch in Chandler... Continue Reading

Google Me!

Posted on August 28, 2003 10:51 AM

Google is good. Google is great. Check out the various results when typing in my name... Searching the web Searching Images - the first two results are computer artwork I did years ago. Searching Groups - this blew me away! Google has archived every blasted newsgroup that I participated in many years back. 8/24/97 - the launch of ClassicGames.com 7/5/95 - looking for software reviewers for our "new" site 7/26/94 - attempting to sell my...
